For a game I picked up for $0.99 at a Goodwill, it's certainly a game I picked up for $0.99 at a Goodwill

My brother and I had played this game for a brief time after renting it from the local library, and later received our own copy of it as a gift. I don't remember a lot about it, except that frustrating biplane segment the game opens with; I never managed to clear it, but my brother did. I will not be returning to this game.

Loved playing this with my family ❤️

Played this with my brother back in the day, no review because it's been too long but I enjoyed it back then.

got stuck on the alligators trying to eat my ass section. gave up

I played this game on Wii, DS, and PSP, and finished all of them, so strong was my hype and love for this movie...

I'm glad I had a time in my life when movie tie-ins could still be appreciated...!

my friend gave me this game and skyward sword after my house burnt down as a kid and i didnt like either

I played this when I was 11, this was the first time I realized games could be bad

Got stuck on the waterfall section and gave up

The only time I played this was when my friend and I were allowed to stay awake until 4 am on new years eve and played this so everything from that night is a feverish blur

This game was miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid.

Up is one of my favourite Pixar movies.
Actually, I probably say that about every Pixar movie.

The videogame adaptation is a short one, taking me just over 5 hours to complete to 100%, but it's still fun.
Not too short, but not too long, with only minor problems with both the game itself glitching out and the gameplay difficulty spike.

The game itself has some elements of LEGO games, janky AI and all, where you try to solve puzzles with 2 players.
Every 4 levels is a boss fight in which you use one character as bait and the other to fight it.
Some levels also feature some jank quicktime events where they tell you what button to press but not how to time it.
Bookending the game are two Biplane levels in which you fly around in a plane where you can't invert your controls and you're given the task of shooting down enemies that really want to kamikaze you.

The first level of these is fine since it's the first level of the game, but the final boss is one of the worst experiences I've had in a Pixar game because you can't slow your plane down enough to shoot at anything precisely.
Your plane has no health indicator either so you'll succumb to a sudden drop often.

Since this game has trophy support on PS3 I did decide to go for the platinum which meant obtaining all the collectables.
Collecting artefacts, mementos and "collecting" (although it's more like killing) a certain amount of bugs net you concept art from both the videogame and the movie itself (typical of these games), test animations from the movie and extra maps for the multiplayer section.

The concept art is shown in a video rather than a slideshow which I'm honestly not a big fan of since I'd rather see it in detail than have it whizz by my face before I'm able to get a good look at it.
I enjoyed the test animations, though.

The multiplayer stuff is more Biplane stuff which I'm not gonna bother with.

Overall I'd recommend this game if you enjoyed the movie.
You'll definitely have to take a break though because it does get irritating.

I finished this game for xbox360 back in 2019, this game was great, the graphics are good, the storytelling is nice, the music is neutral, the dogfight level was the fun part i have with this game, the game itself is great, but the Movie will always be memorable heartbreaking movies of all time.

Janky asf, good plot tho since it's the same as the movie

Carl should be going into cardiac arrest with all these gymnastics he's doing at the ripe old age of 78.

The first stupid games I rented from GameFly just for the platinum 🫠

i hate that crocodile, but i love smashing bugs

I got stuck on one of the later levels if I remember correctly.
