Love the art style, a wide variety of power ups and weapons and just a really solid rogue-lite

Voidigo feels like a labour of love. One of those games that “didn’t come out til it was ready” and definitely reaps the benefits. Combat is fluid, there’s enough variety in environments and enemies to prevent the experience getting stale, there’s a wide range of weapons and powerups.

Which leads me to my only (minor) criticism: there’s too many weapons and powerups. By the time I finished the game (beaten all bosses, completed a run with every character and upgraded/used enough powerups/weapons), I’d only scratched the surface of the range of powerups and weapons on offer; and the lack of significant postgame/NG+ content doesn’t inspire me to push for that 100% completion.

That being said, this is an extremely accomplished roguelike in the vein of Nuclear Throne, the main content of which kept me interested for 30 hours of which I enjoyed almost every minute.

Pretty flashy rogue like. Reminds me of Enter the Dungeon, but a bit easier (which is a good thing. ETG is too difficult imo)

Frantic energy in a rogue lite, think binding of isaac or enter the gungeon. I love the roaming boss battles and the level design. The weapons are just silly in the best way.

Lovely roguelite game to sink a few hours in. The sprites and animations are really nice and there are lots of weapons and powerups to play around. Also many switchable difficulties makes the game just as fun for beginners and veterans of the genre. The essence system makes you want to use as many different weapons and powerups as you can to progress the game. My only gripe with this game is the lack of permanent upgrades, every run starts from the same level. Also the weapon essence collecting can be tedious as you need the last hit on enemies to count it as a kill for the weapons. Sometimes you kill a whole room of enemies and only get 2 kills towards your weapon progress. This makes completing the game 100% not worth my time and just completing the main story was enough for me.

this is the best spin on whatever you wanna call the nuclear throne-like genre. as silly as it is high quality

Very good roguelite to muck around in.
A lot of charm, a lot of weapons and a a lot of fun. It does get stale after you beat it once, but I had a good time with it.

divertido, con armas chulas y un buen sistema de progresión que me hace hacerle emoji ojos a la siguiente partida

i am slowly realizing i do not enjoy 2d twin stick shooters :/

There are three ways I could look at this game

I could look at its fun and fluid combat, gratifying difficulty curve, beautiful animation, and genuinely unique and lovable music

I could look at its unfortunately short gameplay loop, deceptively small item and enemy pool, and barebones final level

OR

I could look at the absolute charm of this game. I have seen very few games that go so hard in the paint with sheer likability. I played for not even 15 minutes and already felt the violent urge to draw the main character because there's just something so lovely about this game. So while I will still take note of the highs and lows of this game, they're taking the backseat cuz my man Charm is driving tonight

(I am also fairly certain this game is in early access, so I doubt the cons will be here for long)

Man, this is just a me issue but whenever I finish a single run in these type of games, I can't get back to running and doing another one. I'll dump 20 hours into it, going through the challenge and then once I'm at the end, I had my fill. That said, things are incredibly satisfying to smash in the face. It can be very addictive and I love the whole vibe to it.

Rougelite that reminds me of Nuclear Throne/Enter the Gungeon. Closest thing I've played to a "Monster Hunter" rougelite, & it's great. Love everything about this game, such a good time. One of my favorites, I'll have this in rotation for awhile.

Voidigo feels like a freakier version of Enter the Gungeon. The weapons are the best part of the game. Haven't played it much because of the high similarity to Enter the Gungeon but it's definitely worth a look!

Excellent roguelike that's got more charm than you'd think could fit in a game. It has rough edges in it's gameplay with a cluttered screen and some unclear systems but none of it matters considering how much fun everything is.

Incredible fast paced roguelite that brought some fresh experiences despite being not hugely innovative. Animation and sound effects are satisfying and rich, and the game has deep strategy and high skill ceiling as well. My two complaints are 1: High loop plays are entirely centered towards resource management rather than intense fights makes this less satisfying than Nuclear Throne IMO, and 2: Impossible difficulty kinda requires luck for some max health drops otherwise you can easily get oneshotted.

Voidigo is a really charming little roguelite. First off the game's style is really adorable, it looks amazing and has good humor. I appreciate it for being goofy and fun, but not over-the-top and obnoxious. The characters and enemies have such playful designs, and the animation goes a long way to furthering that. I love the narrator's voice and the music does a fantastic job of elevating key moments. Now, onto how it actually plays. The core gameplay loop is fun and satisfying enough, but it can definitely get stale after you've beaten the final boss a few times. I played just enough to beat the last story challenge, but anything past that just seems like time sink tedium. I'm definitely not going to go for 100%, but it's definitely something I'll keep playing - at least for the multiplayer. The content that is available right now is solid, there are many fun weapons and awesome power-ups, and I especially enjoy the mechanic of jumping to dodge and stomp on enemies' heads. That said, this game isn't without its faults, some of the mechanics can be quite frustrating. Certain enemies can be annoying, and aren't necessarily hard but just take far too long to deal with. The stomping I love so much is pretty exploitable, as you can simply spam it endlessly and get pretty far without really trying. Maybe if a resource was tied to it it could better reward skilled play, but that may take away some of the fun. It would be nice if there was a HUD element to let you know when certain power-ups were off cooldown. Then lastly, when looping, enemy stats seem to increase dramatically and it feels hard to keep up. Most of this is just felt in the time it takes to kill them, which turns the game into a bit of a slog. Perhaps this is a skill issue for not figuring out a way to break the game more effectively in my 21 hours of play at the time of writing this. However, the game doesn't even necessarily seem to want you to do this in the first place. Looping doesn't feel like it gives any extra reward compared to just starting fresh, and it makes it harder to experiment and work towards the completion goal of unlocking the finale if you're trying to be optimal. I guess on one hand it's good that there's things to excite both completionists and gamers seeking challenge above all else, but to someone who enjoys both, the systems seem a little bit at odds. Also, I want to add that, while the pet system is a cute currency sink once you've bought everything else, I feel like it's a teensy bit lackluster. Overall though, it's a very well put together game that presented me with a fun challenge. I have my gripes, but the game only just came out last June after 2 years in Steam Early Access. There has already been a few updates after the initial release, and I hope and look forward to the devs continuing to support it.

A bunch of frustrating design decisions keep it from being a true successor to Enter The Gungeon.

Cute little twin stick roguelite that takes inspiration from Enter the Gungeon. Lots of personality and variety in powerups. The balance is not perfect - if you want to win hard runs it is clear some stuff is more OP than others. But if you're just going through levels to clear out some bosses and test your own skills - you can play around with almost any combination of skills.

Some framerate dropping on Steam Deck. While there is oodles of diversity in builds, the diversity in enemies and locations is much less.

A fun roguelike, though any runs going for a turret build is just OP and the easiest way to win :p

STILL TRYING TO BEAT IMPOSSIBLE FULLY THOUGH!

Really fun and challenging but fair roguelike most akin to Enter the Gungeon.

Took me about 16 Hours to get the Final Ending and was well entertained the entire way through.

Simpático, carismatico pero no tiene mucho más.
