Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? (SNES) is a classic! It mixes detective work, geography knowledge, and a dash of time pressure in a really fun way. The pixel art visuals have a nostalgic charm, and the educational aspect makes it great for kids. However, the randomness of cases can sometimes be frustrating, and the interface is a bit clunky by today's standards. Regardless, it's a surprisingly replayable and enjoyable game for those who love a good chase sprinkled with a bit of learning.

É um jogo revolucionário, porém achei muito complicado de seguir no jogo. Acredito que para a época, seja um jogo bom, mas hoje em dia, com o nível de game design que temos, acaba por ser uma experiência decepcionante.

It is fun to follow the hints and catch the suspect.

Since it's a DOS game and it will be through the DOSBox, I'll just use Google for the answers.

nothing is more devastating than checking everywhere in a city only to find out you've wasted half a day and a plane ride because you didn't know what country used kroner as their currency and you never catch the thief that stole the throne of timbuktu

great game, music slaps

This game came with a physical copy of a World Almanac. In a pre-internet world, this was because the game required you to look up details about countries in order to follow the most unrealistic clues ever given by NPCs.

Without even knowing who you're tracking, some rando at the gym will tell you "I saw the culprit speed away in a boat flying an orange, white and green flag", and you'll look at the information you've got on like 8 villains, find the one who likes boats, and go to New Delhi. CASE CLOSED.

While it's not particularly complicated, it was able to meld entertainment and education into one package on par with The Oregon Trail.

That tv show, man. Got me to find any games I could and play them. I don't know if they're good or just felt good.

Instead of an almanac, I played this with the help from Google. Pretty fun game I would say.

lads i can't pass the qualification test, am i slow be honest with me.

So much more fun than learning from a textbook.
