I decided to come back to playing this after going on it for quite a while not long before the end of 2022. While I'd not say the game is "great" per se, I think the reviews on here are very harsh for what it is. Also, the only WWE 2K games I have for comparison to this is 2K16 and 2K18.

Positives:
The Story mode's (MyRise) inclusion of a female MyPlayer is nice and adds to he story as well as being a sign of gender equality within the WWE games

Graphics are improved slightly from 2K18

The Royal Rumble allows female wrestlers to be used which I find enjoyable because it allows variety in matches

The reversal button being made triangle on PS4 is an improvement and I remember it more easily than pressing R2 in 2K18

Negatives:
For all the graphics are improved, the atrocious hair physics this series suffers from sadly continues here.

Some wrestlers, i.e Paige, aren't immediately available on the roster and have to be unlocked in the showcases

Characters in MyRise, including your MyPlayers, don't have much depth to them as well as being forgettable with the only memorable characters being the actual wrestlers from the game

WWE 2K20 por mais que siga uma certa receita de jogos (especificamente de luta) que quase não dá para errar (por serem divertidos pela sua mecânica) obviamente foi decepcionante em vários aspectos, seja pelos gráficos e pelos detalhes que parecem ter sido piorados a respeito do seu antecessor e de brinde um nível inaceitável de bugs e problemas de crashes que virou motivo de piada pela própria comunidade do jogo, tudo isso devido a uma pressa desnecessária da 2K só com o intuito de lucrar com essa ideia idiota de lançar um jogo a cada ano mesmo que esteja extremamente quebrado e que não cumpra nem o mínimo do aceitável. Além desses tantos problemas conhecidos do jogo, temos um enredo no "MyCareer" quase sem vida que só fica bom nos capítulos finais já que antes ele se resume em você espancar o seu adversário na gameplay e quando passa para a cutscene você acaba perdendo por alguma besteira inacreditável do protagonista trazendo uma frustação enorme ao jogador por ser feito de palhaço a todo o momento, repleto ainda de piadas sem graça e momentos galhofas/de vergonha alheia dignas de um daqueles filmes antigos da Sessão da Tarde. Por isso e mais que acho inviável de recomendá-lo pois se tiver vontade mesmo de jogar algum WWE recente jogue o 2K19 que parece ser muito mais digno do que esse aqui...

honestly kind of a beautiful disaster

when it works (which is not often) the myplayer mode is funny as all hell, including the part where samoa joe gets turned into the winter soldier

but the game is so poorly held together that i cant in any good conscience give it more than like 1 star

I only played it because the PS4 never had backwards compatibility, and still seems like the case with the 5, but yeah this game is a buggy and broken mess, and why does every superstar in the game look inaccurate and miserable, they’re feeling how I feel when I’m playing the game

Honestly, the myCareer is just boring, and the writing is awful. The only reason I actually had one or two laughs out of it is because I made my male MyPlayer this cursed red man called buttman as a joke. My humor out of the picture though, it really is just boring, and I just want everyone to blink, their eyes won’t close.

And yes, it crashes a lot for no reason.

Hey, maybe I might stream the pain as a joke in the future, but this is staying shelved, it’s a sin of a game

Bruh this game is so fucking broken. Definitely 2K's biggest turd so far. The fact that we got stuck with this shit for almost THREE years is a travesty to wrestling fans!

Step Inside. More like step the fuck outta this shithole.
