This game actually fucks so hard and is the BEST digital recreation of the Bakugan table top game and I REALLY like it.

Tricky cause I /was/ a fan of Bakugan as a kid (Alice!!), but even at my grown age this game is still way more fun than it had any right to be. Really engaging way to translate the card game to vidya game.

My aunt got me this game for christmas, thinking i was a bakugan fan, but i wasn't. My mom told me to be polite and accept the gift, but i played this game and it was awesome.

It's a game about Bakugan, it isn't amazing but it isn't too bad either

only bakugan game, absolute banger

this game is completely broken in both the best and worst way possible

the type advantage and disadvantage system is completely broken and makes fights incredibly one sided but on the other hand its fun to see just how high you can make G's go up since its so easy to go past 1000

This might have been the first game I ever played. It was so cool to me, but it's hard to rate it how many years later. I remember getting into the bakugan anime after I had first moved to Canada. What was probably the happiest day of my life, at that time (or maybe ever, do we have the happiest moments as children?), when my dad bought me a silver/grey nintendo DS lite. I bought this game with it, I remember it was from Costco too haha.

Good memories, wish I remembered more to accurately rate this game. All I remember from it was that sometimes in battle you would have to trace a circle very fast repeatedly, faster than your opponent to win. And I would absolutely obliterate the screen doing that with my little DS pen. Would have scratches and you could see the imprint of the circle on the screen. Good times.

My little brother accidentally deleted my completed savefile in an attempt to play the game themselves. Never touched the game again after that.

Couldn't beat this game as a stupid kid, but I finally did so last year

I felt the nostalgia from the show and toys as I finished it

BACKED AGAINST THE WALL

GOTTA GIVE IT YOUR A-A-A-A-A-ALL

Bought this for the Naga figure and had to beat that motherfucker's name out of my head thanks to Fire Emblem.

The battles are cool, and the bakugan collection is nice. But it is so easy to win from just putting 2 of your bakugans on the same card. and the arenas are lacking compared to the wii/ps2/xbox 360 versions.

i played the fuck out of this game as a kid and i should probably replay it and make a more informed review but i just have a lot of nostalgia that makes me think this game is probably still fine

I don't particularly remember all the details for this game but I remember having a pretty good time with it despite it being a very repetitive game.

This game gets a lot right in presenting Bakugan like you'd be playing it in season 1 of the show. Some liberties are taken like the addition of powerups and type advantages. Those add an extra layer of strategy, even if type advantages are unbalanced.
And then you get to the battles themselves, which IMO should've been oriented towards cards countering each other rather than just spamming them to power up your Bakugan and then playing one of three mini-games and whoever's Bakugan has more points at the end wins.
I get this was obviously first and foremost marketed toward children, but it feels like a pretty big missed opportunity.
Still, I find this game pretty enjoyable and revisit it from time to time.
