I'm the one person on earth who despises the vehicle and Space Harrier sections, but this game still kicks massive angelic ass.

If it were just the first hour and the last hour, it would be four stars easy. But it just makes you repeat that first hour like twelve times! It sucks!
the only big flaws i'd say this has is the dreadful QTE segments. otherwise it's a fun, rapid-fire character action game
Bayonetta is bonkers. I was super turned off from it for years, mostly because of the weird hair suit thing. It's fun though.

Actually has some sort of personality, even if there are a bunch of annoying instant death QTEs. The minigame levels are much more fun than the combat.
In the cutscenes Bayonetta kills everybody in one hit, but in the game I suck complete dick and get killed every other second, so yeah this game isn't any good.

Boi, I needed this kind of game. After playing so mane "serious" games, this felt fresh and funny, with a great gameplay. But even with it's overall funny moments, the plot is interesting and catchy. And don't get me started on those finishers. OH, THE FINISHERS. They are powerful, beautiful and sexy.

I go back and forth a lot on whether I'd say this or DMC5 is the best action game of all time, but ultimately both are just incredible, I love the shit out of this.

One of the greatest protagonists in a game literally is known for wearing their hair as clothes and shooting statue pee holes to cause a massive chemical explosion. And it's Bayonetta in case you didn't know who I was referring to.

Of all the hack n slashes I played this one is definetly on the lower end of the quality spectrum. I dislike many things about this game - and that's not taking into account the dumb, dumb writing and representation of women in this game. Attacks are telegraphed in a very liberal way (that is to say, sometimes not at all and some of the time badly), dealing with the camera is a boss battle in itself, it explains it's mechanics very badly, exploration is a shore with very little reward, setting looks like the worst tendencies of Devil May Cry's level design, puzzles can barely be called that - I could go on, but I won't. It has some okay ideas but the execution is just so sloppy.
I haven't played Bayonetta 2, so I hope it fixes it's mistakes.

I played the PS3 version of this game, and then played the PS4 port. I still do not like this game.

I like this game now. But in typical Kamiya fashion he likes adding things that make the game unbearable and overall sabotages the product as a whole.

Super satisfying action gameplay with an incredible OST. I don't know how many hours I spent grinding the Temperantia fight for money lol
