I'll most likely clock in a few hundred hours on this by the end of the year, doesn't stop it from being a shit football game.
The OG FIFA devs built such a solid foundation for the Ultimate Team to the point where these diversity hires they have at EA at the moment can't completely suck the fun out of it, but they sure try to every single year

First game I played crashed, the second had lighting issues in the second half. Games consist of defending corner after corner or passing around the box and peppering in shots. The midfield battle is non-existent in this game.
The removal of player walkouts and lineups makes no sense, why remove features in a series known for not adding enough in new entries? I played two games that had two different commentary teams with the first just never mentioning player names when they received the ball. Why have multiple commentary teams if you don't even have the players names recorded?
Limbs would glitch during gameplay and hair would glitch during celebration animations. Also why is there no women's career mode? How hard could that be to add? I appreciate that they've added more women's leagues but how often do people just play kick off mode?
Why do the women players have potentials if you can't even grow them? Why aren't the Matildas in the game? They put Sam Kerr all over the marketing but don't include her national team?
Overall it's somehow a step down from FIFA 23. The game plays worse and it doesn't look any better visually.

Basing this review solely on UT mode*
Not much has changed, same features as previous releases. The biggest addition has been EVO, this allows you to evolution a selected player. So far most are free and 1 being paid.
The gameplay feels a little slower with the changes of the engine. You now need a masters degree to defend in this game, your players will literally stand still and orbit an attacker and not attempt a single tackle.

so stale and uninnovative and real a disappointment how there was no attempt to distinguish or update from the prior decade of the same core mode under the fifa name.
it actually hurts that in the current landscape of games making billions and having seasonal content how stagnant and safe this is when theres so much potential.
evolutions is the only noteworthy change which is always is a half baked idea years in the making that is irrelevant in the meta and wasted, one player per challenge needlessly kills any creative choices and has everyone running the same nunez/danjuma/werner and people avoiding the others because it's too much of a struggle or either not worth the 50k to invest. so limiting and not enough variety

Vale a pena?

I decided after 10 years since playing FIFA 13 I would return to FIFA (now EA Sports FC) and as expected, nothing has changed. Gameplay is no different and the AI appears to be poorer than in older titles with Goalkeepers in particular failing to save the simplest of shots, and can easily be manipulated up front. Short passes can fail to go to the nearest player and go elsewhere, or players won't bother to intercept the ball. Referees give red cards for the slightest touch and you can easily get away with a yellow card just from breaking someone's legs. In regards to new updates, they seem to breed new bugs and it feels like the game gets even worse with each one. I don't think I need to touch Ultimate Team's focus on gambling and greed as this is a typical practice by EA. As of recently, EA have been caught out using DDA (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment) which comes at no surprise as all FIFA titles, in particular FUT mode uses scripting to favour one team over another, artificially forcing one team to become difficulty adjusted depending on your skill level and how well you do. It can make matches very unfair. EA typically deny their wrongdoings but as we know, they're terrible liars.
