Another solid GBA FE game. Artstyle is still among the best of the series, the soundtrack is good, and it has nearly the same variety in mission structure as FE7, as well as variation in the map design. First FE to feature a map to traverse, as well as replayable levels. Its not required, and the game's pretty easy, so it never bothered me. The plot and characters are a step down from FE7 however, as well as the difficulty as I mentioned earlier. Ultimately, its just another GBA FE.

this game loses a whole ass star for having the most uninteresting and completely dull main characters i've ever seen in a fire emblem game, which is a REAL shame because the supporting cast has arguably some of the best characters (joshua, cormag, knoll) in the series. if you could replace the twins with like planks of wood i'd be more invested in the story and this would gain at least half a star.

i love the little kid units that become death gods. the story is uhhhhhhhh

It's a quality Fire Emblem with some issues. It's not very long and it's too easy. Even hard mode, though tough in a couple spots, wasn't much of a challenge. The ability to grind is lame. On the flip side, branching promotions are really cool and add replay value.

braindead easy and a story thats uncompelling by fe standards

Far from the best plot that the series has to offer, but it still has a special place in my heart. Lyon is also probably one of the better FE villains out there.

My first real foray into the world of emulation. God bless the Visual Boy Advance.

I get it's too easy but at the same time....the cast is all time perfection

A solid game with the usual great Fire Emblem gameplay with okay-ish maps. However, I do think that the main characters are completely uninteresting even though this was the fire emblem game that had the best side characters I've seen. Combined with an uninteresting story, I lost all interest in what it had to offer.

My first one and very good srpg. I want to marry Ephraim.

My third favorite Fire Emblem, as well as one of the few entries that I still really like. The feeling that the plot is going somewhere already puts it in there, but this is also so much fun to play!

Peak of the GBA artstyle/animations. Love eirika. Love Lyon. Great enemy designs with the monsters. Good story. Not a personal favorite. But it's good.

This was my first Fire Emblem game and I didn't actually understand it very much but I feel an emotion when playing it either way.

This was my first FE, so it's hard not to be a little biased, but I think this game has one of the best rosters of characters. It also has a stronger story than most FE games. It's on the easier side, especially if you capitalize on your newfound ability to grind. Honestly, I think that's perfectly fine. It's nowhere near as easy to break as Awakening, and I personally don't think that every FE game has to be hard as diamonds.

Choosing between classes when you upgraded was a swell idea, but I feel like most times there was one choice that was better than the other. Also easier than the Blazing Blade. Still had a great time.

One of the most inoffensive FE games that falls to the common flaws of most bland FE games: mounts and fliers are too good, and swordlocks are really bad. It's at least a pretty good entry point for FE.

Good game, kept me very entertained during a trip overseas until I realized that the outlets there couldn't charge my DS. Still somehow was able to beat the rest of it in one sitting during the plane ride back home. Still can't believe my friend let me borrow it while I was halfway across the globe.

the story.... messy, but i really enjoyed the characters.

Eirika is fine, y'all just mean

If you struggle to get into the older fe games due to permadeath, play this game first to get used to the mechanic, its mostly pretty easy, and has grinding if you need it, to help you practice before trying the harder games. It also has one of the best villains in the series

they dont make fire emblem games like they used to-- wheres all the suggestions of incest and necrophilia these days

Fun time. Easier because you get stronger characters (Ephraim is truly an insane Lord) and you can grind in the tower. Still fun though, I love all the crazy villains this game has.

Introduced cool systems such as branching job promotions. Unfortunately this is one of the easiest games in the series. Still fun.
