Another solid GBA FE game. Artstyle is still among the best of the series, the soundtrack is good, and it has nearly the same variety in mission structure as FE7, as well as variation in the map design. First FE to feature a map to traverse, as well as replayable levels. Its not required, and the game's pretty easy, so it never bothered me. The plot and characters are a step down from FE7 however, as well as the difficulty as I mentioned earlier. Ultimately, its just another GBA FE.
this game loses a whole ass star for having the most uninteresting and completely dull main characters i've ever seen in a fire emblem game, which is a REAL shame because the supporting cast has arguably some of the best characters (joshua, cormag, knoll) in the series. if you could replace the twins with like planks of wood i'd be more invested in the story and this would gain at least half a star.
A solid game with the usual great Fire Emblem gameplay with okay-ish maps. However, I do think that the main characters are completely uninteresting even though this was the fire emblem game that had the best side characters I've seen. Combined with an uninteresting story, I lost all interest in what it had to offer.
This was my first FE, so it's hard not to be a little biased, but I think this game has one of the best rosters of characters. It also has a stronger story than most FE games. It's on the easier side, especially if you capitalize on your newfound ability to grind. Honestly, I think that's perfectly fine. It's nowhere near as easy to break as Awakening, and I personally don't think that every FE game has to be hard as diamonds.
Good game, kept me very entertained during a trip overseas until I realized that the outlets there couldn't charge my DS. Still somehow was able to beat the rest of it in one sitting during the plane ride back home. Still can't believe my friend let me borrow it while I was halfway across the globe.
