I enjoy this game more than I probably should. It's a solid encapsulation of joyful playlike platforming, and there's not much out there that captures it like Kirby in general. It manages to hook me with its exemplary artstyle, complemented by what I personally would say is the strongest soundtrack a Kirby game has received. It's as simple as anyone would expect to play, held up by good level design and godlike charm. Kirby's Return to Dream Land is a charming fun adventure and there's not much to dig into it other than that. It doesn't NEED to have anymore than that.

Haha big copy abilities go swoosh

Damn playing this with friends is actually super fun. Played it with 2 people and I had a blast going through the whole game. I love it so much

Best with friends, but still amazing on its own.

The game is kinda generic compared to the games that came afterwards, but when it came out it was a very welcome return to form for the franchise. And it has the second-best antagonist in any of the games.

Meu Kirby preferido, muito maravilhoso esse jogo. Trilha sonora, diversão e direção de arte são as melhores coisas desse jogo

The best Kirby game.

That's it.

Little man gets big sword what’s better then that

Not my favorite Kirby game cause of the wii remote's layout, but still a great time with friends.

Pues está bien, nada del otro mundo, un Kirby sólido.

Let's fucking goooooooooooooo

11 years since the last time Kirby had a mainline console game. Air Ride was nice but it wasn't a platformer. In 2011 Kirby makes his return to Dreamland and what a return it is. This is an absolutely fantastic game. It doesn't change too much about Kirby in the gameplay standpoint, but you know why? It doesn't have to. Kirby's core gameplay is already fucking good. Just add 4 player co-op and you're having an absolute blast with your friends. Everything good about the franchise you're familiar with is here, and they give Kirby some good new copy abilities you're surprised it took them this long to have like Leaf, Water, Whip and Spear. He's got the SUPER SUCC™ ability which is sick, which lets you net 5 different Super Abilities which are 5 copy abilities you're already familiar with but cranked up to 11. 2nd-4th players can play as King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee but player 1 can only play as Kirby which kind of sucks but I'm not too mad about it because it's fucking Kirby. They even managed to update some older abilities like Ninja, Hi Jump, and Needle. Like do I seriously have to sit here and explain why this game is good? It's just Kirby. No emphasis on just, emphasis on the KIRBY. You already know it LOOKS amazing and it SOUNDS amazing and it PLAYS amazing, because the game is FUCKING AMAZING.

Best one in the series. Pure Greatness

so close to being perfect. sooooooooo close

This game kinda bangs lowkey

honestly one of the most fun Kirby games I've ever played

even if it is the most generic entry in the series it's the most well-rounded, barring robobot. good copy abilities, good co-op, good pacing, good bosses, good collectibles, good true arena, good everything man

One of the better Kirby titles. It's a bit more challenging than the others and has a little more variety that equates into a very enjoyable and fun going platformer

ABSOLUTELY chaotic game, a great experience with friends

Kirby's Return to Dreamland is certainly one of Kirby's best and challenging outings to date. It may be quite formulaic with its levels, but there usually is something to spice them up each time you enter a new one. With a fully functional Co-op in hand, a massive collection of gears to collect, and bonus stages to unlock, Return to Dreamland really brings back Kirby the way he used to be.

My favorite Kirby game next to Planet Robobot! This was actually my first ever Kirby game too, so it holds some nostalgia with me. Very fun gameplay and playing as not just Kirby, but King DeDeDe, Meta Knight and Waddle Dee was awesome!

While this game doesn't reach the heights other games do with how they're degined. This game is devoid of bad moments and its a completely enjoyable experience from start to finish. Its just fun all the way around, alone or with friends. Its a game that can be picked up anytime, and be played, and be an enjoyable experience

Consistently good, this entry is no different. Catchy music that makes you whistle along. Fun copy abilities. They expanded the copy abilities, offering more attacks and ways to fight through enemies. Nothing extraordinary, but simple fun.

Return to Dreamland is my absolute favorite Kirby game. Even surpassing Superstar in both quality and quantity. Being a game that erupted from the depths of a development hell, it seems like the team finally decided they would 'return' (get it?) to the original Kirby formula and instead build off it from there. Build off it they did. Like usual, the new copy abilities were great, but now specific older abilities can upgrade in SUPER abilities, which just wreak complete havoc or are required to complete an optional section of a level. The other big addition was the multiplayer mode, which I've gathered works marginally better than the mess that is NSMBWii's multiplayer. The game has tons of levels with a plethora of extra little mini puzzles scattered within them for optional collectables, and bosses that, amazingly, do more than one or two moves. Also, Magolor. Can't recommend this game enough.
