100% this game is one of the biggest masochists acts I've ever done in all my years playing videogames, the game is literally equipping a disguise and pressing B close to things, that's it, FIFTY TWO HOURS of that.
Everything else outside gameplay was kinda nice, I enjoyed the intro cutscene, some of the dialogs, sound, the atmosphere and graphics; gameplaywise, car handling and the jetpack, which the level designers forgot it existed so it was entertained to think of ways to skip entire sections to get collectables faster, also the color gun is a colorblind trap and even more of pain in the ass, get the cheatcode or the redbrick asap, it's on Uptown, Lego shop, you need the firefighter.

LEGO's take on the Grand Theft Auto formula. Not actually that bad. Since TT Games had previously mastered being able to create a vast overworld with LEGO Batman 2, it makes sense that they would utilize that again, this time with their own original world and characters. The story is nothing to write home about, but its pretty satisfactory for a family-oriented game. The cutscenes and dialogue continue to utilize that LEGO humor that you'd normally expect from one of their games, this time with references to various movies and TV shows. There are some issues, specifically with the nuisance that is traveling the open world to find optional Gold Bricks (a problem that would continue to affect future LEGO installments) and my personal distaste towards the more "animated" combat style. It's a good LEGO experience, keeping up with the charm that the previous games had, as well as the ones that came after it.
This is one of the funniest games I've ever played. If the gameplay gets stale you can stay around for the funny cut scenes. Luckily the gameplay is lego so it's fun while being easier for its targetted younger audience. Each one of the disguises is used well with each level and blends in one another and combat are different from any other lego game. The open world is a nice touch with different areas and a lot of collectibles. However, the best trait without a doubt as stated earlier is its comedy. This game just has a great sense of humor and anyone can enjoy it. The story is good too, especially if you have good knowledge of crime investigation shows and know the tropes. Lego really did a good job especially for the price of $5.99 when I got it on sale. It is worth every penny and is easily one of the most memorable games I've ever played..........but, the game has one glaring issue that made me take away a star. Performance on Switch is terrible. I'd assume it's an improvement from Wii U, but it just doesn't run well with very periodic frame rate drops that just ruin the experience. The frame rate drops even happen in the cut scenes which I'm not sure how that's even possible. I wish Panic Button could go through this game and make it run smoother because if they got Doom Eternal to work on Switch, they can make this game work easily. Regardless definitely check this one out if you have the time!
If you ignore the following:
-Lego Copaganda (obviously)
-Lego Workplace Harassment
-Lego Misogyny
-Lego Transphobia
-Lego Cultural Appropriation/Racist Stereotyping
-Often unfunny/predictable/lampshaded jokes
-Slow Restrictive Clunky Camera
-Frequent game crashes
this can actually be a surprisingly fun open-world collect-a-ton (once you reach post-game).
