i know this game gets a lot of hate for being too easy but hear me out, it introduced a lot of new mechanics, mega evolutions, the online matches were fun and more accessible compared to the old pokemon games (u could fight against people around the world instead of lan only), i remember getting this for my birthday and being so ecstatic. fun times

Okay, this game is starting to grow on me, it's a good

I cannot believe that a female Raichu could crash my game and softlock me in the Lumiose gym.

I love this game, it's the first in series I remember the build up to release and it will always be one of my favourites just for the memories of exploring everything there is to do in it as a kid, also being the game that got me into shiny hunting. Overall though, it's got to be said that there isn't actually much to do in the game besides the very easy main storyline, and the game marked the beginning of the hand-holdy trend that would be seen a lot going forward in the series. A lot of the time the region doesn't feel fully fleshed out, and although the step into 3D was a huge move for the series they weren't quite there with the aesthetic to me and a lot of the Pokémon models themsles are quite desaturated. Overall an important step for the series but not a game that gives much reason to replay or explore beyond becoming champion (unless you shiny hunt, which this post-game is actually very good for so points for that from me).

This is the most whatever pokemon game to me, it doesn't really do anything that cool and interesting and there's really not that much memorable about it aside from megas. It borrows so much of its identity from Kanto and the whole game is way too streamlined and easy.

It's probably my favorite game in the Pokémon franchise. Although the story is basically like that of most Pokémon, the game brought fun things and much improved improvements from previous games, and in addition to the overall quality of life, the game has the best post-evolution mechanics ever made in any pokemon game in history, and will probably never be surpassed. Mega Evolution is perfect. BUT unfortunately basically this game don't have a really good endgame.

rivals in this one pissed me off

I remember how hyped the younger version of me was when I first bought this game. I probably beat the whole game in just two days and had an absolute blast. I remember thinking skating in your shoes being the coolest feature ever in a game.

But now in retrospective the game is still tons of fun definitely carried by the entire new lineup of Pokemon. But definitely lacks in rivals, story, and that elite 4 is just too damn easy. But again the pokemon and just shift to 3D hard carry this game to its rating.

First full 3D mainline entry in the series with some (relatively) impressive technical aspects.
+ visually interesting environments in a distinct region
+ arguably the best soundtrack thus far featuring lots of memorable music
+ great mix of old and new Pokémon
+/- casual friend group instead of the usual rival
- far too restricted yet powerful gimmick
- very little side and post-game content
- a few awkward camera perspectives (especially in the central city and major cutscenes)
- terribly portrayed enemy faction
- one of the easiest games in a franchise that's already lacking in challenge (owing to stupid trainers who almost all use a small and underleveled team)

So much fun, I got really into this game, trading and breeding and leveling up and catching as many Mon as I can. I accidentally fell off playing it with only about 20 missing from my dex. Such is life.

This one was really carried by the idea that this was the first 3D game

Nintendo randomly gifted me like $100 for no reason so I bought this and did a challenge run on it

Shoutout to my sis who wiped all my data from this game a year ago so she could play it for 3 days then stopped

pokémon x is a good game plagued as terrible and forgettable failure by purists and people who aren't willing to break a bone. it is not devoid of flaws, being incompetent in... probably most things that pokémon is supposed to be. the dex is great but lacks fire types, easy as hell, deplorable balancing, etc. however, if you want to just have a good time and feel the Kalos vibe, it works.

when i started the game i needed a theme to nickname all my pokémon and i chose idols, so here are them:

delphox = hani (exid)
florges = luna from fx
vivillon = su-metal
burmy = kashyuka (perfume)
xerneas = maiyan (mai shiraishi)

the keyakizaka46 subset:
swanna = sato shiori
meowstic = shida manaka
bunnelby = miiko (minami koike)
murkrow = oda nana
spinda = ozeki
absol = techi
cubchoo = neru
swirlix = nijipon (nijika ishimori)
glaceon = berisa (watanabe risa)
flygon = yuipon (yui kobayashi)
phantump = yone-san (yonetani nanami)
raichu = kuritarou (suzumoto miyu)
litwick = berika (watanabe rika)
altaria = fuyuka

not idols:
mienshao = haru nemuri
charmander = sakamoto (ryuichi)
lucario = hiroshi sato
zangoose = tomoko (sasaki)
skitty = min heejin
gothorita = kokomi (from asriel)

As easy as it is this game is still one of the best I've played

My only completed Pokémon game. I had like 250 hours on it from shiny trading. That shit was so addictive

Mega evolution and that's about it.

I never had a 3DS growing up so this was my first time playing through this game in full.
And it's kinda eh.

Because of the universal exp.share it was really easy for me to be overlevelled for some fights (You can turn it off at least).
But the game is not that hard to begin with; nearly every trainer was allergic to being a challenge.

It felt like the game wanted to do more than what it had time for and it feels half-baked in some parts because of it.

But at least it wasn't as boring as Sword and Shield.

One of the most underrated games in the entire Pokémon franchise. I have been defending this game since 2013 and will do so until my dying breath.

Pokémon's 6th generation is rife with controversy due to, among other things, the switch from 2D to 3D. I couldn't care less. This game is one of the most enjoyable Pokémon games there has ever been. The creature variety is the highest in any Pokémon mainline base game ever, with just over 450. The distribution of these creatures in the different areas of the game is immaculate, and it opens up an enormous amount of team variety and possibilities. The introduction of the Fairy type, the PSS (the best player interaction format the franchise has ever had, by the way), the Super Training, being able to pet your mons in Amie, mega-evolutions, the best environments this series has ever seen (Laverre City, Route 14, Route 19, Glittering Cave, Route 9, long et cetera)... it all comes together in what could have been a masterpiece of a Pokémon game.

I say "what could have been" because as much as I like this game, it does have its problems... and they lie mainly in the story. Not the best story the series has, not the worst by far (generation 2 takes the cake), but still far from brilliant. This and the somehwat bland characters, both probably a product of a rushed development, along with some generation 1 pandering and locking many mega stones behind the post-game (apart from Looker's storyline, not much to do in it honestly) are the few flaws this game has.

Do not let anyone tell you otherwise: despite its flaws, Pokémon X and Y are very much worth playing.
