"Hey man, I'm trying to figure out what Sonic Games I should actually play" - me
"Dude.. you gotta play Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine!" - literally none of my friends
"What's that?"
"It's Puyo Puyo"

I go to the store and look at Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. "It's Puyo Puyo" says the advertisement. I flip the box over. It's Puyo Puyo. I tear the cover off. It's Puyo Puyo on that cartridge alright. My friend stops me at the door "What's that you got there?". It's Puyo Puyo.

I've played this game. It's Puyo Puyo.

it serves its purpose i just wish there were more cute little anime girls to fawn over. anyone who prefers this to puyo puyo is surely some sort of deviant.

My first Puyo Puyo game. Stressful, yet addictive. I've played worse cartoon tie-in games.

Puyo Puyo with a Sonic related name slapped on it. That weird decision aside, the tile matching in Puyo Puyo is still excellent and just as fun in this game, even if it does seem like a bit of a cynical marketing exercise.

A 'Puyo Puyo' reskin that replaces the actually interesting characters with the no-name losers from 'The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.' It's cool that we at least got some version of the game but I'd rather have had the version with a villain whose name upsets pearl-clutchers.

It's Puyo Puyo, which is cool!
It's western Sonic, which is not cool!

Honestly, if I'm gonna play Puyo, I'll just play actual Puyo with the cute girls and whatnot. But checking this out was worth it for this fucking face, and nothing else.

Snooping around like always right?

funny meme yes i know but it's bad for no other reason than it's use of the puyo puyo 1 ruleset which makes it near unplayable for anyone used to newer puyo games

Puyo Puyo without the soul

very quirky puyo puyo type game
