The start of the Momodora series and trully not a game worth playing even for lore reasons due to how badly made it is, its in essence just a cave story clone which can be forgiven bc is the first game of the dev but if you want to start the Momodora series just play RUTM or Moonlith Farewell

As a first game from the developer (rdein), it's a really good effort, but honestly the enemy placement is so unfair that I can't reccomend you play it yourself. Watch it on yt if you care about the lore.
