Wow, what an incredible game this is. Devil May Cry 3 is a super complex, satisfying, challenging, and overwhelmingly great experience. Capcom nailed literally everything in this game. The story, characters, combat, music, enemies, level design, everything. They perfectly walked the line between being badass but also being self-aware and not edgy. The cutscenes and story in this game are awesome, I loved all of it. Dante, Virgil, Lady, and Arkham are super well-written and have such cool character arcs. The cutscenes are also incredibly well done.

The combat is so wonderful and addicting, that I kept wanting to learn more and more on how to get better. There are so many options available, including all the guns, weapons, and styles, all of these mechanics work well and give you so much control over how you want to play, while giving so much variety in the gameplay. It's perfect. Not only that but there's so much depth in this game combat that I'm pretty sure veterans who've played this game for years still haven't found everything. It's simply that good.

DMC3 also has great replayability, with bloody palace for practice, getting better at the combat, and of course, getting to play as Virgil. I have no doubt in my mind I will be coming back to this game all the time.

Anyway, it goes without saying that DMC3 is one of the greatest games of all time, absolutely blowing its predecessors out of the water times 1000. Also being a sequel to DMC2, which is one of the worst games ever made, kinda makes this the best sequel ever made, considering how much it really improved, and this being one of the best games ever. Anyway, DMC3 is a perfect 10/10 and I can't imagine many people really disagree.

Name a more iconic boss matchup than Dante vs Vergil in this game. Nothing comes close in the character action genre.

Combat alone does not a game make.

It can take it pretty far though.

while i may perpetually play games that are regarded/recommended as "good", nothing will ever beat this, at least in my book
the combat is amazing, fun and you can be pretty creative and even quite skillful with it; i've personally not come across a game where it was possible for me to experience such a very fun yet still hard combat system
the atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal and this game has made me truly appreciate dark and more gothic themes throughout art, it truly is something that has fully left a mark on me
the cutscenes are awesome and this is what i think what people should consistently call "cool" when it comes to voice lines, the overall presentation of the characters and the emotions each cutscene conveys

Hell absolute yeah. I still remember having tried first DMC1 and then DMC3 and having a blast with the over-the-top action and characters.

ancora nel 2024 il miglior hack n slash in circolazione

Super stylish. Never experienced an action game like this before at the time. The soundtrack sets the right atmosphere for every instance. Characters full of charisma.

Este é um dos melhores hack and slash/jogos já feitos, não existe outra opinião.

Ultimately a very fun, challenging, addicting game that is held back by a few issues, all of which occur in the back half of the game.

I really liked exploring Temen-ni-gru, the gothic aesthetic really goes well with Devil May Cry, I hope they keep up that interesting visual appeal in the sequels. The combat was really fun, and the styles and devil arms were all fun to mess around with.

My issue with the game comes in the form of its enemy design. The back half of the game throws some really annoying, tanky bosses and enemies at you, such as Leviathan's Heart, Arkham (who thought that boss was a good idea!?!), The Fallen, Infernos, and the Chess Pieces. All of these enemies range from really tanky and annoying to deal with, to straight-up iron tanks that require multiple nuclear missiles to take down.

Another minor issue I have is with the camera. Now the camera was alright in DMC1, with a few instances where it just sucked, but in DMC3 they massively improved this camera quirk, with the exception of one boss, which is the final boss. The camera can barely keep up with him, which makes it borderline impossible to know what he's going to do unless you get lucky with where he ends up. Thankfully, the boss is pretty easy to cheese, but it still sucks that the camera does that.

Overall, DMC3 was a really fun game that you should definitely check out if you were a fan of DMC1. Really hit the jackpot with this one!

Vaya juegazo, gameplay guapísimo, bosses buenísimos, banda sonora que es una locura, la historia sin ser increíble cumple su función. El único defecto que le veo es la cámara (aunque comparada con la de DMC1, es Dios)

I'll be entirely honest, this game didn't do it for me at first, I'd say for the first 4 missions I was really starting to wonder if character action games weren't for me. Then I hit mission 5, and everything clicked, specifically with the fight with Agni and Rudra, something about parrying their strikes and hitting them so hard their sword-heads fly out of their hands, then from there I got their weapons and oh my god I was having so much fun, and then getting to mission 7 and fighting Vergil and having it be one of my favorite bosses in recent memory, and each Vergil fight brought a new twist to the formula and the game just clicked for me so much and next thing I know I've put 30 hours into this game over the span of a single week, and continuing to grow that number, 100%ing the game with both Dante and Vergil, planning to see how far I can get in terms of the harder difficulties, not to mention the freestyle mode added in the switch port (my main method of getting that sweet sweet stylish goodness, although I occasionally dabble in the PC port a friend gifted me a copy of thank you you know who you are) I feel like this is a game I'll continue to come to learn and master, because that process is absolutely thrilling so far and this game has cemented itself as one of my absolute favorites, from the style to the presentation to most importantly that crunchy gameplay, this game is an absolute masterpiece, can't wait to play 5!!!

Top 15 greatest game of all times

A must have for any PS2 game collection or any fan of action games at all. Perfectly expands on the foundation set by DMC1 with the style system and huge variety of weapons and basically an improvement in every way. Weird that they skipped the number 2 and even weirder that the Switch release is the definitive version.
One of the reasons why I would trust Itsuno with my life, the others being DMC5 and CvS2

Awesome, Vergil character is great and literally me.

Geez Louise it's as bad of a port as people told me and i spent 10 Reais on this lmao

Barring some issues, such as lock and key enemy design plaguing the later levels, it serves as gameplay catharsis on a degree unmatched with a heartfelt story to boot. Capcom’s magnum opus in my opinion.

You know it is a good game when there is an electric guitar weapon and a character that carries a rocket launcher at all times

It was perfect. Down to the last detail. Perfect.
