Way 2 many old rock songs and the new songs are lame 3rd wave brit-rock. Gameplay is still fun though.

Absolute banger tracks and design.

I loved this game as a kid, and it did introduce me to a lot of artists that I would go on to love (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Iron Maiden), but it's no way near the best guitar rhythm game. Firstly, I think it's kind of ugly. Obviously it's an old game, but its contemporaries like Rock Band had a more appealing art style, better animations and effects (comparing the two side by side there's no contest imo). Most importantly though is the soundtrack, and while it's pretty good, there's also a lot of covers, and a handful of duds too. I did used to have a crush on Ruby Nails tho so there's that

I still have this under my bed and we still play this sometimes like its 2010

the only thing that ever organically made my father smile

SO FAR AWAAAAAAY, WE WAIT FOR THE DAAAAAY
FOR THE LIVES ALL SO WASTED AND GONE
WE FEEL THE PAAAAAAIN OF A LIFETIME LOST IN A THOUSAND DAYS
THROUGH THE FIRE AND FLAMES, WE CARRY ON!!!!!!!

Played Regis years ago and it’s so good. The UI and songs are amazing. The three head to head battles are so much fun I only wish there was more.

Slowride! Take it easy! (repeat ad infinitum)

Best rhythm game ever made. God the guitars cost way too much though.
Also everyone who says they "mastered" this game is a fucking liar.

Dude, Guitar Hero III is still an absolute blast! Rock out to legendary tracks, battle crazy bosses, and shred your way through the story mode – it's pure, over-the-top fun. Sure, the graphics are a little dated now, and some of those songs are brutally hard, but man, there's nothing like pulling off a crazy solo and feeling like a rock god while your plastic guitar controller is probably on fire.

My fingers hurt (I played on Medium)

this game is how i found out about weezer
