One of the all time greats of 2D platformers and in some ways the definitive Mega Man game. RPG elements are finally gone and the game still retains the mission structure of Z2 so the potential found back in Z1 can finally shine. Also a killer soundtrack and lots of potential ways to mix around your abilities to customize how you want to play.

Peak. They never made a Megaman game this good again.

When I picked up the X games, met Zero, and eventually played as him, I thought "man, he's cool af". Then, I picked up the Zero games and thought "yep, he is still cool af". But it is only when I played this game that I truly realized: he's simply #Him.

It was one thing for the story and stages to be the best these games had to offer so far, but it even went the extra step of basically making the combat 2D Devil May Cry. It is entirely possible to play this game however you want, either casually or testing your skills with all the crazy stuff you can do with the combo system.

I guess some of the bosses weren't that interesting to tackle, but otherwise, this is a truly phenomenal game.

Simply a great game. The story was incredible for a 2d platformer. The combat systems, comboes and variety was really fun. The recoil rod was unique and har to use at first but quickly became a great tool for traversal and combat. The cyber elves get way more streamlined in this game and i like it the more for it. The only gripe i have with the game is that some of the bosses and levels did not feel top notch some levels like the sand level really are just a walk from left to right and some bosses are really easy. I also think a better system than having to keep an A rank through the game to obtain new moves would be great as the ex moves can feel locked out for new players or players that want to try to get some a bit into the game.
