rather short, but the content this DLC provides has one of the best series of sequences and fights in the whole RGG universe

great dlc combat is pretty neat even if its just improved versions of yakuza 0 brawler and beast loved the story the final boss was funny as shit its the definition of fighting a random guy

A great little story about Kaito, the perfect length honestly, anything longer would have made everything just a bit less impactful. (if that makes sense)

As sad as it would be to lose Yagami as a protagonist, this DLC showed me Kaito is a great replacement. The story was neat but nothing special imo

What's there is incredibly good but the issue is that there's not really enough of it. If they made this its own game in a similar fashion to Gaiden I think this would be one of my favorite games in the series.

kaito is a national treasure.
it's a fun dlc, a bit difficult to recommend at the price they sell it at normally, however.

A fun little DLC side story for Lost Judgment, where Kaito takes on a case that has a bit of a personal stake on it.

Honestly, with how depressing and heartwrenching stories that RGG have been producing lately (which isn't a bad thing), it was a nice breath of fresh air to see where The Kaito Files was going in the story.

Short and sweet, but really builds upon who Kaito is as a person, and how much he's changed since he's been with the Yagami Detective Agency. Technically/gameplay-wise, it isn't so different from the Lost Judgment base game, however, some parts of the game felt a little too long when you're using your detective/stealth modes. As far as the story goes, there were also some odd pacing story beats, but didn't seem to overly take away with what the game was trying to present.

Overall, I loved it even if it had those really small non-issues. Just felt like it was worth bringing up.

Short and sweet, sometimes predictable but never without heart, The Kaito Files was a fun experience that allowed Kaito a much deserved moment in the spotlight.

Despite some minor issues with gameplay and the plot, I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent playing as Kaito and hope that RGG brings back Jun and Mikiko for future entries.

Lost Judgment: The Kaito Files - Absolute cinema. The most fucked up and evil antagonist i have actually seen in video games. One of the best plot twists in RGG games. Great new characters. Peak Ending. Thank You RGG for this short masterpiece. Thank You Unc Kaito 🐐❤️

an actual RGG game with an actual happy ending. 10/10

Absolutely fantastic. A meaningful and interesting DLC that expounds upon maybe the most interesting character in the Judgment games: Masaharu Kaito. After this game, I don't know if it's a hot take, but I would absolutely love to see Kaito get his own entire game, maybe even more than Yagami getting another, though I know why RGG would prefer Yagami as a protagonist. The story is really heartfelt and the main villain is one of the series' best.

The Kaito Files adds some deserved backstory and character development for the sidekick Kaito, even if the aspect that I liked the most was playing with a character fighting similar to Kiryu in this butter-smooth combat system.
