This game is so good ive been playing it since the first humans of the Apollo 11 crew touched down on the moon and walked on it. No joke!

One of the rare clicker games where you actually have to click. A lot. Carpal tunnel inducing, but pretty darn fun tbh. Classic PopCap really doesn't miss.

Pure fuckin dopamine screaming through my carpal tunnel

This is a game from my childhood that I kinda assumed would be shit because most games I played as a child were kinda shit, but this was pretty fun. Employs a lot of ideas present in every evil mobile games nowadays, but its pretty charming to see them in this infantile state. I guess this is my favourite EA franchise now.

My mom and I broke a mouse from this game

I dont fucking play about this game

If you ever wanted to speedrun getting carpal tunnel syndrome then this is the game for you.

Out of all the milked franchises. I wish this one had sequels because I was so in love with this game way back.

SO MUCH FUCKING FUN I LOVE THIS INSANE AQUARIUM I LOVE SHOOTING ALIENS N SHIT I LOOOOOOOVE FEEDIN MY LIL FISH YEAHHHHHHHHHH

This was one of the first games I ever played. PopCap was a huge part of my very early childhood and I'm glad people still remember and play this game.

I used to put on playthroughs of this every day back in 2020.

my friend naomi gave me crack for 99 cents. jesus christ.

Popcap is usually one of those companies where they kind of hit their boom early on and then everything after in the modern age is either Kinda Cool or an utter anti-consumer dumpsterfire
With change
Comes new solutions
Always
With change
Comes new problems

Insaniquarium is kinda like this

I was already versed in plants vs zombies, bejeweled and peggle games
But this kinda just EXISTED to me without me even havin tried it before and it is HELL.

Its fun
But its also hell
I think one thing I wish was really different about it was spicing up the tank gimmicks

You got about four different tanks with five different levels and a final boss to tie it off into a neat little bow
but really I think the fourth one is the only one that does it in a drastic way because its a lot easier to get run up on by monsters and have your fish snuft out when youre relying on Pregos(the like.. the birthing fish tht pump out the guppies)
and the money flow is slower

I like the tank with the starcatchers a lot too though! I think the game atleast is throwing enough aliens in rotation with enough Pet variety to keep it from getting BORING

despite this game not bein too terribly long, i wound up taking a couple breaks and finished it in like 3 playing sessions because my finger was getting tired from clicking. You use leftclick for fucking EVERYTHING in this game, to the point where i think it genuinely mightve been better to experience this as an app game or something. But im chillin.

final thoughts:
its war.
krillions will be devoured and need to be fed to reach the egg of power. an enthralling battle after battle in each tank you set fin in. you may click fast, Strong even, owllunchers. But they are beyond strength.
Death? It's meaningless.

my favorite pets were the clam, the mermaid and the shark
but s/o to Angie the MVP

that final boss goes hard asf

This is the childhood game. if youve played pvz and want something more relaxing but just as outlandish and silly go play this.

Many hours wasted in this and Alien Shooter. 10/10 lmao

Pretty sure I downloaded this off some weird website on my laptop when I was 9 years old and installed a couple viruses with it

Carpel tunnel simulator. One of my favorite games as a kid. Doesn't run in a resolution above 640x480, and the screensaver feature requires manual file editing to function on newer computers. Nevertheless, it's a casually fun and addictive classic. The campaign still holds up as simple and enjoyable. Meanwhile, the meta progression grind and virtual fish tank are lovely and provide good long-term reasons to play.

... Is this a survival horror?

To the Joker this would be a normal aquarium.

It's aight. I like how chaotic it gets but it's fairly tedious and each series of levels is just the same level but longer. Do NOT play this without an auto-clicker unless you want to get carpal tunnel.

As the predecessor to Plants Vs. Zombies, this game lays a lot of the foundation for what makes that game fun, while also having its own unique identity. The premise, art, and overall tone are very fun and lighthearted, but the design of the levels can make even that feel very intense. The most frustrating part of this game is definitely some of the aliens, it feels nearly impossible to fend off certain types (psychosquids...), but the game does give you many resources to protect yourself with, and it's all about the choice in what resources you use that determines your play-style.

Past the main mode, the challenge mode to get the gold trophy is very tedious to complete unfortunately. Playing each level 8 times just wears on me personally. On the other hand, the included virtual tank option is a fantastic feature, giving the game life beyond its actual levels.

Overall, this is a very fun game, and I would recommend it, even despite its few flaws. (Also the playtime is from me leaving the virtual tank running, actually completing it doesn't take that long).
