A pleasant enough little proof of concept, but nothing more than that. The story is centered around a lonely girl whose home starts getting more eerie and weird over the course of a few days. Clearly intended as the beginning of some grand adventure, Escaped Chasm ends just as it starts getting good.
Neat short story with a fairly unique premise! Loved the art style especially with the fully animated cutscenes. Definitely helped me get more engaged with the characters and get me more immersed with my short time with this game.
Gameplay, obviously, is just inspecting objects but I think just walking around the house helped me get immersed with the sheer isolation and loneliness that the protagonist felt.
In the end, I cared enough to want to do what was best for her and got me looking forward to playing Dweller's Empty Path and I think that's what mattered. Temmie doesn't miss!
