Never been a huge GTA fan but this was still worth playing. Characters are actually pretty good, surprisingly. Missions are repetitive and pretty meh, same could be said for the sandbox. I know there's lots of cool easter eggs and hidden missions and whatnot but I couldn't bring myself to put enough hours in to do any of them.
One of the games that I had most hype as child. This game is perfect! Ther world is so full of life, of thing happening. The story is one of the best ever made, the characters are awesome too, specially Trevor and Franklin. All the mechanics this game introduced like the individual power for each main character it's amazing. I love this one!
Grand theft auto V has been re-released on every console generation, and is still being played by gamers today, and theres a reason why. Before i begin though, i will say this review is based purely on the story mode as i don't play GTA online.
Gta V's gameplay is weird to me, but i keep coming back to it. First off, the shooting in the game is horrible and outdated, especially when compared to rdr2's shooting gameplay. The guns were never that unique or interesting to collect and shooting never felt that much fun. However, where Gta V shines is in it's other areas of gameplay, such as driving full speed down a highway in a car while being chased by police, or doing crazy side missions and parachuting. There's a lot of stuff to do in Gta V, which makes just driving around and interacting with the world the best part.
This leads on to the story, which i really enjoyed. The 3 protagonists are great (although Trevor is fucking crazy), and they make the story a fun ride to go through. While most of the missions are just doing some dumb ass crazy stunt like driving on a train, shooting down planes or going on giant heists guns-a-blazing, the story was surprisingly deep. While it does take 2nd place, letting the missions gameplay take centre stage, the relationships and morals of each character and each of them doing what's best for themselves and each other is great to watch unfold.
Overall, I love Gta V as its super fun to just hop on for a couple hours, drive around while blasting non-stop POP! The story is also really fun and interesting, with the missions being wild and unique, and the story being mature and emotional. Another rockstar hit, and there's a reason why this game is still being Played.

Obviously I had played this before, in fact this is my third time playing the game. One when it originally came out for PS3, second when it had the PS4 version and it's new first person mode, and now a third and probably final time on the PS5 before the highly anticipated GTA VI. It's been 10 years of this fifth installement and for the most part what made it such a huge game back in 2013 is still intact, even if you can obviously tell it's age by now and some of it's flaws are now more telling. It's definitely an iconic game and for really good reason, I found the majority of the story enjoyable and funny, the characters likeable and the gameplay a lot of fun. But yeah, I think the world is ready for the next Grand Theft Auto and I'm glad we're not so far from that. Consider my pre order done as soon as that comes ou in 2025.
Still as enjoyable as it always is, and it's kind of insane how replayable this game is without feeling repetitive
I don't think the mission design is as aggravating as RDR 2 is, but it's still there, but less often, and with the gameplay, mixing in first person for the shooting segments helped mitigate the clunkiness this game always had
The overall story is still weak but the characters and the themes themselves are what ultimately carry the narrative, cuz it's really hard to get invested in the general plot if it wasn't for the characters and just how good Rockstar writing generally is
