Groarrrrrr I'm the anxiety monsterrrr

Obviously inspired by the Milk series, it's a game that seems to knows its limitations, and knocks the pacing out of the park. However, the other aspects of the game are just okay or medicore. Unlike Milk, I felt no attachment to the character, and the other character is just sort of there, almost shoe-horned in.

That being said, I do look forward to dev's future works, as it's still an admirable game.

Looking up I see Only a Ceiling is a good little narrative adventure. You explore the house, learn a lot about stress and how she manages to deal with it. The atmosphere quickly changes about half way through. The vibe is very creepy and makes good use of audio to give you a sense of urgency and stress. Once the game is beaten you unlock explore mode where you fully explore the house and learn more about the lore. A nice little treat for beating the game.

My only complaint is that the game is very short but it doesn't mean it's a bad game by any means. I'm hoping if their is another game that the length will be a little longer.

Very pretty but very short, great atmosphere. It's a nice narrative about the issues of stress, kinda hit's close to home regarding my current situation as a student in uni. It's not a life changing masterpiece but i greatly recommend.

Great presentation, but it's a bunch of nothing.

While not as depressing or as mysterious as the two milk games, I still greatly enjoyed my time playing this. While it goes in a different direction from the milk series, it excels instead at it's handling of mental health. I'm excited to see what that epilogue update is like and these games are gonna stick in my mind for awhile.

never really got too into this, which sucks, but it is what it is
it's incredibly short, but I think it's this devs first project so can't be too harsh on that
i think maybe my biggest problem is that theres too much unnecessary stuff here; dialogue, points of interest, even just getting achievements for "checkpoints" every couple minutes got a little annoying and doesn't feel that necessary for a game that, again, is at most around 30 minutes
so yeah, maybe if they just cut back on a lot of that stuff and made the player figure the story out more through the environment and not just reading text boxes i think that could have been cool idk

A dive into the psychedelic mind of someone who is suffering from school; everything is an allusion.

Not very good. Sound & music are great but that's where pros end. Wears it's inspiration on it's sleeve but doesn't hit any of the beats on why the inspiration was good in the first place. Art is alright. Adventure style gameplay is cool but that in itself a long with the dialogue falls flat. "I can't do that now"/"I don't have time to do that now" the game. Then the game gives us the answer leaving no room for wonder. Personally speaking the underlying problem was very mundane as well.

Needs to bake in the oven way longer.

Honestly, I would've paid more for this just because of how the story is. For $1.99 this is steal!!! Despite how short the game is the story and characters are interesting!!! <3333 Would recommend!!!

jogo curtinho mas com uma narrativa bacana

short and sweet, I'd recommend this to anyone, you can tell how much love and care was put into this

Of course, comparison with milk series is unavoidable. This one is much more straight forward, and much lighter. There is no serious mental illness, no boundless isolation, just a student under the weight of her study, dealing with anxiety and exhaustion, something quite relatable to many of us. Indeed, it ends on a much more positive note, just like how most of us got it through.

milk inside a nothingburger of milk

I could make this game in Powerpoint

Super on the nose and not the strongest writing, but it's pretty therapeutic at the same time. They're working on DLC, based on what it looks like it'll probably bump this up to a 3 when that comes out :)

neat little piece, got some of those milk inside/outside vibes but waaay more on the nose. for three bucks it's a fine way to spend an hour
