Comically short with terrifically bad endings that resemble an old AVGN bit. The 2016 memes and unintentionally funny voice-acting only compounded the hilarity, and left me entertained for all the wrong reasons. The true ending feels disingenuous and inorganic. Home run on the art, though!
[Played on SteamDeck (playable), I didn't have any issues with it.]
The game gives a trigger warning that says "Warning: contains mentions of suicide and self-harm." Suicide and self-harm are not just "mentioned", a hanging body and open self-harm wounds are shown on screen depending on your route. The game is pretty and you can tell that this game is full of heart, I really want to recommend it but I just can't. I've played through every route and I just don't personally agree with how the themes are handled. I know there is no perfect way to handle these kinds of situations, and it's hard to portray such a complex topic in just 10-30 minutes, but I still can't in right mind recommend this game.

This game isn't subtle about its message, to the extent that makes you deal first with the consequences, before really grant you the power to change the outcome, and I think is a good thing, because it really helps to put in perspective the problem and to show how simple actions can go a long way to help someone you love. Maybe can be too blunt to some (I also have my nitpicks here and there), but honestly, sometimes is better to simply speak about something instead of burring it under layers of metaphors or symbolism
Almost paradoxical how much this feels like a project started in the early COVID era but isn't.
Not that character-driven visual novels dealing with isolation/depression weren't dime a dozen even cutting it down to just the Western ones but the main crux of the story hinges on how 2 different people handle being mostly by themselves.
Your choices ultimately leading to very drastic outcomes is obviously overdone but it works for the very brief runtime, there's also a bit of a timeloop thing implied but I'm assuming that's just to incentivize multiple playthroughs since the first thing I instinctively went for caused definitely the worst result.
Evidently overhated as another le epic cringe video game about young people with their dumb slang in the tune of Life is Strange which is funny in this case because this one literally costs you nothing except half an hour at most and 50 MB.
I have to wonder what it is about games like this that keeps drawing in dolts that can't put down their guard for even a second or worse just preemptively decided what they'd think ahead of time, it'd be funny if it wasn't mostly sad.
Also possibly the only work that'll ever exist to say trans rights and namedrop Harry Potter, this actually could not have happened at any other time.
