THE competitive game, in my eyes.
It is a purely skill based game, the more you put into CS the more you get out of it. You are facing against players purely on skillful aim battles, positioning, utility. It's clean and simple to watch competitively.
There is no other game that can kill it, Valorant tried but now it's problems have bubbled up with Hero drops and new mechanics that clutter and mess with the game.
This game you have the same amount of resources as the enemy, don't have to think about what Hero they are playing and their abilities shooting you through walls across the map. You coordinate with your team or just fuck around.
This is way more of a recreational sport than any other competitive game, it never gets old.

It's about time I had score this game. Long story short, it's fine. I have not played CS2 nor am at the edge of my seat in anticipation, but I can't say that CS:GO is necessarily bad or outdated to me. I put this game in a similar camp that I put a game like League where I play it non-ranked and brainlessly if i'm bored and need something to pass the time (aka I dont wanna play a story-filled masterpiece in the moment). For those purposes, it's fun and good, and while I can't say I prefer it over some other shooters, I can't say its bad or undeserving of the respect people have for it. Overall a good experience to chill out, say some things you shouldn't and die 60 times in the process. Also, wingman is the best gamemode, dont @ me.
