This is a fantastic party game and in my opinion, the best in the franchise. The graphics have aged as expected for a Nintendo 64 game, but when you play you forget about them entirely. I've played with family and with friends and every time it was amazing. Only downside is that friendships may be destroyed by the Honeycomb Havoc minigame...

The song that plays on Space Land, is a Space Jam.

I hope you cringed when you read that

THE BEST ONE. IT HAD THE OUTFITS

it still sucks but luigi gets a cowboy hat so it’s a definite improvement

Questo gioco è più divertente dei Mario Party moderni, dei Party games in generale e della carne di vitello tritata.

This game is a classic for sure, but I hate that you can only hold 1 item.

nem sabia que era possível zerar esse jogo

TIME FOR A HOOTENANNY!!! This game is epic. My favvy maps are western world and the pirate one of course

Favvy mini games: platform peril, bumper balls, hexagon heat, toad in the box, cake factory, day at the races, face lift, crazy cutters, bowsers big blast, look away… yea.. good games 😻

Mario Party 2 is a good game. But after some times has gone by, oh boy did I notice a lot of flaws with the game.

I will go ahead and say that the minigames are super nostalgic and can be really fun, the boards are also really cool, although there was only really one board I didn't enjoy that much, I particularly love that they give the characters matching outfits to fit with the theme of the board in question. However one of the things that bogs the game down a lot is the friggin' enemy AI. Regardless of difficulty there's going to be a lot of times where the AI are dumb as rocks and yet other times where it's impossible to beat them. Mecha Marathon being a prime example seeing as how it feels like they have super-human strength and you can't even get close to beating the AI. Of course some of the minigames are also not that great either, but not every minigame can be good. But I'd still say it's worth playing this game. Miles better than Mario Party 1 that's for sure.

Definitely a decent Mario Party game, especially for N64 standards.

I'm spoiled with things like CPUs skipping their item minigames now and all that, so it's kind of dreadful to play this game nowadays, but for back then it was great.
The minigames are pretty good, it introduced classic features and the soundtrack isn't bad.

Cruelty. Sheer cruelty. PERFECT for a drinking game.

The elation of obliterating your so-called 'friends' is matched only by the crushing, hopeless anger of watching them win.

im the sheriff of sucking you off!

nothing better than permanently scarring your familial relationships with your siblings by playing either this or monopoly

When you've got 3 friends and this game. You're in for a very good time. No asterisks, no concessions, it's just a great time. This game makes many improvements off the first game with more balanced boards, better aesthetics and cool theming for each board, a better minigame selection, and classic music.

I can understand why some call this the best Mario Party game but I personally believe Mario Party 6 and Mario Party Superstars have it beat. This is still a great one and always has good vibes for multiplayer fun.

MARIO PARTTTTTYYYYYY

Mario Party peaked with this one

Mario Party 2 is definitely an improvement over the first game for sure. For starters, the boards don't suck ass now. In fact, I'd go as far to say that they're the best part about the game (except Mystery Land, that one's awful). The mini games have gone from shitty to...mixed. Some amazing ones, some poopy ones, it's a mixed bag but still an improvement over the first. Also a lot of the bullshit rules that made no sense from the first game have been fixed, thank GOD. I don't think Mairty Pairty Dos is the best one like most people do, but it's still pretty decent

*actually on switch vc

this is effectively a better mario party 1. i love the gameplay so much i find myself replaying boards time and time again. really looking forward to playing mario party 3 when it comes out on switch virtual console.

The single greatest Mario Party. No notes

Pirate Land is the best board. Fight me

All of this stuff is really hit and miss, but again it really doesn't matter in the multiplayer prime time.

I really like western land, i think that's all i wanted to say. Jokes aside, its one of my favorite MPs!
