sempre tomo um pau pro sagat pqp

Between Alpha 2 and 3 these are probably some of my all time favorite FG games, ever. Both have their own merit in their own ways with this one being a bit less fuck-all. Still a damn banger.

I liked the chain combos in alpha 1 but I cant be too sad because they added custom combos which makes my brain do a backflip everytime I activate it

Street Fighter finally finds its footing!

This is the moment Street Fighter took that big leap forward as a franchise. The characters are fun and distinct. The addition of low and high specials is effortless. But more importantly than all of that is, it just feels like Street Fighter. The speed increase, the precision of the attacks. It all flows together seamlessly into a new standard.

A much better version of the Alpha game compared to Alpha 1. Sounds are improved and the dial-a-combo system from Alpha 1 has been removed in this version.

New characters being added to this one and an epic intro solidifies this as one of the better Street Fighter titles in the franchise.

brabo, levaram um daqueles aparelho com 1 gazilhao de jogos pro colégio e pqp só tamo jogando isso

Really cute art, but the gameplay is frustrating

Getting closer to the best Street Fighter experience and I liked having an ending without Bison for once. I played as Sakura.

Love Akuma! Banger music.

I just know if I was around in the 90's arcade era, this game would be my bbg.

The most literal example of the term "Anime Street Fighter"

Alpha 2 functions a lot like Street Fighter 2 Super Turbo. No dashes, combos in general are very short and simple. Most of your gameplay is walking back and forth to bait the opponent into missing an attack, hit them if they try to jump at you, and try to approach the opponent/keep the opponent away from you.

Combined with the excellent music and very nice pixel art graphics, this makes it very fun and approachable for a beginner. Especially with how many mechanics games have these days, Alpha 2 can be refreshing in how barebones and basic it is.

Once you get invested though, you can start to squeeze a little more out of it, by learning to use the Custom Combo mechanic to perform fast high damage combos like what you see in Guilty Gear or Blazblue.

When I think if my favorite Street Fighter game I always come back to the Alpha trilogy. After revisiting Alpha 2 I have determined this game nearly edges out Alpha 3 as my favorite. Some of my favorite characters were added in this game, the gameplay itself is very fun and satisfying and the arcade mode is really great.

When I think of Street Fighter as a brand, the first things that come to mind are either the classic SF2 series or the new hit SF6. But for my money, this is the game that embodies what I like about SF. You've got a roster full of essential fan favorites (except Cammy sadly, although the console ports do remedy that problem) including the series debut of Sakura, who has become an all time classic character in her own right. You've got a colorful and expressive art style that brings out the best in these iconic fighters. That classic Street Fighter spirit is alive and well here and is at the forefront of every battle.

Now as a fighting game nerd I gotta talk about gameplay mechanics. If you're more comfortable with the conventions that began with SF3 you might find this one a bit hard to go back to, but for me it scratches a very specific classic fighting game itch without feeling TOO stupid. I love fast walk speeds, I love normals with dedicated uses/ranges/purposes, and honestly I even kinda love popping reversal custom combo and vaporizing someone's lifebar. And for a fighting game from the mid 90s it actually controls pretty well, aside from the very tight window for CC activation. Probably my favorite SF overall, but I'm pretty open to most of them.

the actually good version of alpha 1 without alpha 3's V-ism

Street Fighter 2? But there's like.. 4 of em.

"Yes, yes, I killed your father. What is it with you women anyway?! I killed my father too and you don't hear me whining about it!"

HUGE upgrade from Alpha 1. Character sprites somehow look even better and the game plays alot more smoother and improves on everything Alpha 1 brought to the table.

Rival battles make it so much more interesting this time around and character endings feel fitting for their respective characters arcade mode. Auto combos are also super fun to use.

Alpha 1 but more tolerable due to the not fucked up roster.

everything they introduce here is just perfect for a casual like me and by that I mostly mean the additional characters lol
