Games that you can't just sit down and play, but take a great deal of planning and organisation just to set up, and will inevitably become the source of ire for anyone you live with.

Worthy of inclusion for the suggested cramp-avoiding playstand that was packaged with each copy, but gets special note for the AR card battles, which required players to collect physical cards that could only be acquired through My Nintendo and purchasing Kid Icarus: Uprising merchandise
Listed here because the only reason anyone would play this now is for the ten person multiplayer, which requires two Saturn multitaps and ten Saturn controllers (note: I own these)
The whole series and the later Guitar Hero games would be suitable for inclusion on this list, but 3 gets special attention for supporting three microphones, keytars and real guitars and keyboards with MIDI output.
Listed for compatibility with the Life Fitness Exertainment System (the SNES exercise bike)
Practically any dance mat game could be included here, but Stepping Selection requires its own proprietary six-button one for a bad rhythm game with 90 second levels.
Included for the ability to add your own photographs, if you have a specific early 2000s Japanese camera phone and proprietary cable

Four Swords Adventures reaches a new level of setup required doing it over netplay, but it's a magical experience
