Lisa: The Painful
"Brad... I've been a loser my whole life. Having you around has made me feel strong for once. Like a man... The first day we ever met was the best day of my life... Even before the world changed. Maybe you don't feel the same way... But you're my best friend dude." -Terry, Lord of hints.
The Beginner's Guide
"Please, I need to feel OK with myself again, and I always felt OK as long as I had your work to see myself in."
To me, The Beginner's Guide expresses this conflicting feeling of the lines between art/creation and commodity that videogames tends to straddle. It often ends up with players feeling owed another person's creation soley because it exists as an interactive medium. Projecting thoughts and feelings onto another's creation where it may not even be welcome. It's an interesting thought and will always stick with me.

He Fucked the Girl Out of Me
"Shame isolates you. It eats into you slowly over time. Until suddenly without noticing the code of silence you kept for your own saftey starts turning into the thing that's killing you keeping you from getting help Destroying your ability to truly be alive. To exist. Before you know it your trapped in the shell you made."
I have never played a game so painful, and I will likely never again.
Calling this a 'game' feels ...wrong, as it is more so a recollection of pain and trauma. It is raw and unyielding, and it is brutally honest.
