This game is the definition of charming

2004

Look, I love Edmund. I really do. I also understand the importance of this game for indie games, physics in games, and edmund's career. That being said, this has aged horribly, and that is the sad truth. I can find some fun here, but not much. I can't bring myself to hate it.

Its largely unfinished, but I put 2 hours into this little cute game that's essentially 2 minutes long simply because of how fun the movement mechanics are

I don't know why but this game really failed to grab me. I don't even think it's a fault with the game. I think it just comes down to personal preference.

Perhaps a little derivative of Yume Nikki, but it's fine.

This one is my favorite Metal Slug. To me they kinda blend together since they're so short but I have a genuine soft spot for this series. Incredible arcade run n gun. The best of its kind

Cute little puzzle game that feels a lot like a really good flash game. It's just not terribly memorable.

I truly see this as DLC for the first game. It's genuinely fantastic gameplay wise and improves in a lot of areas, but it's far too short

As someone who is absolutely in love with everything spider-man, is this biased? Absolutely.

Do I care? No. This game is everything I could've wanted

A beautiful recreation of the original game, but the question stands of if this upgrade is necessary. It is beautiful and just as good as the original, but it does lack a certain feeling that the original has. Perhaps things are too clear. Also Wander's face is fucked up

For all of it's flaws, this is the absolute definition of artistry in video games and the realization of a unique, powerful, quiet, and bold expression through the video game medium

I'm sorry, but this story is such a mess that crumbles upon itself the further the game goes on until very little is left behind. Are there some fine moments? Sure, but the game is purely focused on its story, and if that isn't very good, there isn't much left to save the game.

Please note this is the NES version. As this game stands, it's a mess. Maybe the original game is much better, but as is, it's pretty rough. I don't even hate it. I think the game has clear vision especially for the time, and as a massive fan of the series, I can't express contempt towards it, but it's just not a very well made game.

I'm sorry. I don't hate this game on purpose, but I do. I can't even really put into words why. It just represents such a steep fall off from Gen 5 where I was confused and baffled at nearly all choices made. I don't think it's even objectively bad. It's just I get very little enjoyment out of the game.

Unbelievably disappointing. This game represents everything wrong with Nintendo's occasional game philosophy. It spits in the face of the previous games and RPGs as a genre.
