My name is Erick! I'm a huge fan of roguelikes and RPGs (especially JRPGs). I grew up a Nintendo kid and currently play most of my games on an Xbox series X (still playing MHGU on my switch though). Just here to track what I play!

Hades is a masterpiece of a game. A rogue-like with addicting combat and dialogue that can keep you engaged for hours on end. One time I had played for 11 hours straight. With the style of a rogue-like and repeating your runs along with the never-repeating dialogue that always reveals something new about the story, all elements of Hades come together to make a masterful game. Post-game being comprised of a system where you cannot move forward without making the game more difficult is another aspect to keep players engaged, and it works quite well because despite the small weapon pool compared to other rogue-likes, it is compensated by the ever-changing boon system. The combinations possible in this game are endless and it makes each run feel fundamentally different from the others. Hades is a top 3 game for me of all time and easily one I have enjoyed the most.
