Finally getting to play this without emulator lag was so relieving. The judgement in some games is a bit iffy (Sneaky Spirits and Power Calligraphy got me hard) but overall, it was a very fun time. I don't know if it was my experience with the series beforehand, but it was surprisingly easy to perfect every game.

Literal platforming perfection, platformers going forward should take note of how easy this game is to pick up and play.

I think this might be one of my favorite Sonic games; the gameplay almost never feels slow, the music is phenomenal, and visually the aesthetics still hold up. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars for me are how annoying some of the boss fights can be.
