I'm a sucker for stories that revolve around detailed scientific theories and implement a lot of philosophical concepts as well and both of those are just Uchikoshi's forté, so naturally I'm slightly biased I admit.

However...

Uchikoshi the GOAT.

There's a reason the game was one of the first VNs (Alongside Ace Attorney) to popularize the genre in North America, it definitely deserves the cult following it has and it's sad it was a commercial failure in Japan when it was first released.

Incredible mind-blowing plot twists and a truly one-of-a-kind mystery/thriller story with a unique hard sci-fi edge to it all driven by very realistic and relatable characters is what you can expect when picking up this title.

Really I can't recommend the game enough to both VN players and even people who don't typically play/like VNs just because the storytelling is so incredible that I think everyone who enjoys a great mystery story should give it a shot and experience it at least once in their life, it truly proves video games are just as worthy of a storytelling medium as any other media.
