Fun (but completely uninspired) gameplay loop with mediocre, boilerplate combat that genuinely feels like the same shit every time. Good with friends, though.
Objectively, both as a game in general and for what it sets out to do, this game is fantastic. It just isn't really for me. I've lost count of how many times I've picked it up, but I can never get into it. If you like games like this, it's perfect.
My best friend bought me this game a couple years ago because he knew I'd like it. I sat on the title screen for a couple minutes to listen to the music, proceeded to get my mind absolutely blown by what a cohesive masterpiece of a game this is, and cried at the end.
