Bio
When Metroid Prime was brought to the switch in all its remastered glory, I embarked on a quest many before me had been down; To play every Metroid game in chronological order, and review each and every game. This also sent me down a much larger and greater quest, to review every game I play as fairly and as critically as possible.

This game is a unfinished masterpeice. If sony had not pushed for multiplayer, I believe this game couldve been an easy 5. The weapons system is unique and fun, and theres nothing better than grinding annihilation station to get a level 5 Quack'O'Ray. Best game of my childhood.

This game builds on the origional in the best way possible. All the mechanics are better, the guns now upgrade with use, and the worlds are excellent to explore. I can not bring myself to give this 4 stars or higher due to the PTSD I developed while traversing Grelbin. The final boss also fell short to me, I would have enjoyed an epic battle with Qwark after all the setup, but a giant protopet was not the conclusion i had hoped for. Not as good as the first games ending by a long mark.

Excellent game, excellent start to a franchise, and an excellent childhood classic. The final boss was excellent, and the build of Dreks motivation and charachter holds his as one of the best villains in my opinion. The backtracking and multiple paths on each world made it feel full. I only wish bolts werent so hard to come by.
