Vanillaware really outdid themselves regarding this game. Yes it is the ogre Battle game than many people were waiting for for very long time but it's so much more than that. While many have been simply content to to simply recapture a game without any attempt to try and improve upon the system for a modern audience.

Unicorn Overlord is an incredibly you know balanced and well crafted you know strategy game that gives you all the tools to succeed but many different paths to accomplishing that. That in itself is quite an accomplishment. And I found myself engaged throughout when usually towards the ladder stages of these sorts of games and counters become you know wrote and units are far too overpowered to actually pose a challenge. As someone who played it on you know expert which felt honestly like the perfect you know difficulty and encapsulation of the game where it wasn't to punishing it would just simply you let you know when you did something very aggressive and very stupid and that you should just try a different strategy. If anything it was incredibly rewarding when discovering new strategies and tweaks to a unit's loadout that enabled your team to do even more damage overall.

It's not going to be for everyone but I think any strategy game fan will find a lot to like here

Charming little point and click adventure where you literally have to translate completely unknown language through puzzles and context clues. Originally it was recommended to me citing Obra Dinn which is similar in execution by piecing together a narrative with limited information. There's less of an unraveling mystery here but I would still rate it highly based on charm and execution alone.

I strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys point and click adventure puzzles

Just go in with as little information as possible. I'll update this as I go - no spoilers yet
