I love Spider-Mans confidence in this game.....
His girlfriend runs around the ENTIRE game with a handsome, well built, kind black man who is clearly trying to improve his community and help the underprivileged and Spider-Man is not in the LEAST bit concerned?
damn... thats some textbook white cis-het confidence!

This game is bad, but kind of fascinating.....
The whole time while you play you feel like money is burning all around you, not your own though, but that of Square Enix.
For the wartable missions but also for the main campaign, you will be sent to richly detailed environments, however they are so useless and empty, that in some regard it feels unfinished at the conceptual level. The main campagin is similar in this regard, it has a bombastic actiony beginning and a simliar finale and everything inbetween is just padding that feels like a side mission, one would do to grind XP. I did have some fun with the combat, i enjoy going into brawler combat and afterwards gain some distance to do damage with my guns with Black Widow for instance, this is it though. The writing goes from ok to cringe inducing, especially whenever Kahmala Khan talks. I would be greatly interested in finding out more about the creation of this game, because it is bad, but there ARE some kernels of quality in here, which gets drowned out in a noise of questionable design decisions.

This is a fine DLC, in a way exactly what you would expect, from BL2 DLC and a nice short campaign to enjoy before jumping into tiny tina.
However what surprised me is that at the end, the writing gets believably emotional, I dont know if this is actually good, or if I am just happy that there is even the slightest emotional core to a BL game....
but i did like it!
