The first GTA game that was fully HD.
Back in the day, I spent many hours in this rendition of Liberty City hanging out with my friends, bowling, crashing every single car because the driving was very bonkers...Those were the days, I tell you.
However, playing this entry in 2023 feels quite different after I removed my rose tinted glasses. This game was a victim of the early 2000's color palette, meaning you'll only see blues, greys or browns through the whole experience (which suits the game well, since the main inspiration is New York).
The shooting mechanics/sound effects are great, but the driving feels awful compared to the one implemented in the sequel a few years later.
That being said, the only thing that drove me to play this game again was the story. Probably the best one out of the GTA franchise due to the darkness and realism (mostly) of it's characters.

I remember way back in the day, when this game was announced. I was very angry that Rockstar was replacing John Marston with another main protagonist, however, nowadays I believe that it was one of the best ideas the studio could come up with.
I played this game when it came out on a Fat PS4 and as many of you know, the graphics and the performance was unbelievable; however, the thing that hooked me the most was the story of Arthur Morgan and the van der Linde Gang.
If you played this game, you know how heartbreaking this game is. Going in blind is pretty much the best option to experience one of the best stories of this console generation.
However, one thing I never got used to was the gameplay. To be honest, the world is very detailed and whatnot but I just wasn't as hooked with the gunplay, which is pretty much 40% of the game. The other 60% is riding your good boy horse.

I remember way back in 2004 seeing the original box art of this game and being creeped out by the imposing hell knight and the red colored background. It was very mesmerizing to see, yet it made me felt uncomfortable
My dad was a huge fan of the DOOM series ever since the Nintendo 64 iteration. It was all about a very fast pacing, shooting demons and getting lost in the not so clear levels. However, he told me that the third game was awesome and that it scared the crap out of him.
I never liked horror games, I get scared easily so in reality, I told him that I’ll play it, eventually. More than 18 years went by and I finally was able to get myself around my fear. So I bought the BFG edition which includes the base game, the expansion: The Resurrection of Evil and a brand new campaign called The Lost Mission.
DOOM 3 doesn't mess around, it’s one of those games that you can’t stop playing after the intro sequence is over.
It was a huge departure from the fast paced action that the fans at the time were expecting. That is its biggest weakness: not being a proper DOOM 2/ DOOM 64 sequel, other than that, if you give this game a chance you’ll find a technical marvel (due to the engine and the lightning system they created) and a well paced first person shooter that utilizes horror elements alongside a plethora of weapons to defend yourself against them.
