Almost impossible w/o a guide, or constant trial & error. Still a decent game though

10/10 On initial playthrough which immediatly drops down to a 7/10 upon replaying. Presentation is stellar, story is enjoyable, most of the characters are memorable & quotable, but the gameplay lacks any depth. Its also one of the few games I can think of that progressively gets easier as you choose a higher difficulty

Not as "obscure" as it once was, but for a long time Ive held the opinion that TNE is an unironic hidden gem of the PS2/GC library.

I dont think any other game made me more mad as a kid

Its jank, but Its also created by modders. Easily the best Sam game since TSE.

Overly ambitious, and lacks polish.
Game launched in a dreadful state, and while it has been patched numerous times, you can still see the tearing at the seams. At least it doesn't run like hot ass anymore.

It's fun, but realistically not worth purchasing unless its on sale for ~$10 USD, and even then I'd recommend Siberian Mayhem over Sam4.

There arnt even 3 "good" levels in this game

An overall enjoyable experience.
One of the most technically impressive Wads to date, and also one of the most overrated. Watching the Doomworld forum in real time turn from genuine discussion into ARG/creepypasta nonsense, and eventual doxxing is one of the most depressing experiences I had (gaming wise) all year.
If you watched some dork's video essay on this instead of playing it yourself I hate you btw

Ending is abrupt, and could have potentially used exactly one more level. But otherwise its a great set of maps to one of the best shooters of all time

Charming at first, but it starts to drag on heavily near the end despite how short it is. Level design in the latter half is very bland
