I picked this up hoping this might be a return to form for this series but was heavily disappointed. The game's handling still occupies that weird middle ground where it is not a racing simulator but is afraid of being too arcadey. This is exasperated by the drifting and gymkhana-like events which were not fun when Codemasters started introducing them in 7th gen and are still not fun now. And topping this all off is probably one of the most infuriating wanted systems I have ever experienced in any game. The most praise I can give is that the game is technically and visually solid, and I generally enjoyed the game's soundtrack though not enough to really go out and listen to it outside of the game.

This game is extremely rough to the point where I got soft locked on the tutorial level, and another when a puzzle broke after I accidentally clipped out of bounds. Outside of that the game's combat, platforming, and overall presentation aren't particularly great either.

A neat looking suika-like game with some nice music. Definitely a good, cheap little time waster.

Super fun action game with some great animation and fun characters. Main story provided enough of a challenge without becoming frustrating at any point.

I think I like the general gameplay of this one better than Verdant Venture, but I feel like it also has more annoying or frustrating portions. That final boss in particular can go fuck itself, thankfully I figured out how to cheese it.

Short and cute little Kirby-style platformer. Decently fun though I don't see myself trying to 100% it.

Neat idea, but the execution both gameplay and presentation-wise seems somewhat undercooked and knowing how to play Minesweeper at the most basic level largely trivializes the difficulty of the entire game.

The game has lots of cute animals and nice looking environments, but the controls felt weirdly stiff at times and I ran into a few bugs that hindered progress until I completely rebooted the game.

A decently fun throwback that sands over most of the rough edges of its inspiration. I did have to resort to a guide part way through, but that was solely due to me not realizing I could just jump past a certain enemy.

There are elements of what could have been a good game here, but the overall game is fairly lacking especially for its price. It's missions are fairly dull outside of the main ones which provide the closest thing this game has to a story.

A fun introduction to this long running series. Aside from some minor bugs and FMVs that look a little crunchy when blown up to 1080p, I don't really have any complaints and am looking forward to playing other Ys games in the future.

Definitely a good amount of fun, though like part 1 it doesn't quite meet the base game's highs. Great music with some throwbacks to B/W, though I wish they did new remixes for the returning legendaries.

An old favourite of mine that was packed in with my PS2. Nice music and a good selection of creative tracks, though you don't have enough time to react to some of the obstacles. Frame drops are fairly common and can be distracting.

A decent Picross style game but one a bit lacking in challenging puzzles. The lack of thick borders between the cells also made things bit more difficult to look at than they should have been.

Another solid Picross game by Jupiter. The mystical atheistic is a nice change from the more simple look of the main games, and the large 40x30 puzzles offer a great challenge. Also Emil is very cute hehe.
