Evil run is a bit better. All the gimmicks find their identity and the story is more interesting. Gameplay is more fun. But on a second playthrough, the cracks start to show from the speed with which this was made. Only a year in development? Yeah... I could tell.

Just being Spidey is fun, and this does plenty of creative shit. Playing a purist run, I can't help but notice the game starts with a portrayal of spidey that functions like a classic Private I. Kinda wish we leaned into that throughout....

Kongregate will shortly be shutting this game offline. A game that defined so much of my childhood in a massive way. A game that will always be a part of me.
Minutes ago, I just played it for the last time. I will not play it again, even for the time that it remains playable. There's something special about the final round, knowing it's the last. It's a very surreal experience.

Rest in peace, Surviv.io. Thanks for everything.

A game that learns all the right lessons from Half-Life and applies them toward a very enjoyable experience for the first half, albeit a mixed bag in the latter half. That said, this game is very blatantly military recruitment propaganda and it releasing in the dawn of the war on terror is very fitting. My feelings toward it are the same as toward a film like Top Gun: Maverick, but I enjoyed this a little more while the bullshit here is a little more spicy.
