One thing I liked about Spyro 2 that I think improved upon Spyro 1 is making the controls slightly better with the fluttering and a better transition from charge into flame (not being able to instantly turn on a dime with a jump turn into a charge anymore is a shame, however).
One thing I liked about the original which I found myself missing while playing the sequel is not riddling every single level with these annoying fucking minigames. Thought that was neat.

MMG DAY 8 - Kirby: Squeak Squad
Decided to revisit one of the classics I used to play all the time when I was a kid. This game is 15.5 years old btw.
I'd say this is a very serviceable Kirby game, which isn't much of a good thing considering the base quality of every kirby game. Bubble mixing is a neat idea to force the touch screen to exist, but is lacking in execution. Same thing with scrolls: you could've had scrolls unlock superstar-tier movesets, but they just unlock one move which is either lackluster or just the ability to angle your breath up or down. It's also kinda annoying how collecting treasure chests shares the same inventory space as all your mixing bubbles, even if it does make sense.
Still, this game gets bonus points for having two of my all time favourite copy abilities (Magic and Ghost), and gets a bump from succumbing to my nostalgia. You should probably play Superstar or Triple Deluxe before this.

MMG DAY 7: Tower of Heaven
I shouldn't really be getting disappointed by 30 min long games, but here I am. I was interested in the concept of introducing new laws which you have to obey and where it could go from there, but it just kinda stopped. I suppose I would like an alternate mode where all the laws are intact from the start, including at the final level, but it isn't really necessary, it's just a game that you play for 30 minutes at the end of the day

GAMER MARCH MADNESS DAY 4: ELECHEAD
Pure puzzle platformer kino. Ingenious puzzles, great mechanics at play, cute visuals, as well as short, sweet and to the point. It's impressive how much the dev managed to squeeze out of such a small and simple concept for a game.
SPOILER!!!!!!!
I really like the reveal at the end that you gotta go all the way back with your head throwing powers to get the ending, but its personal impact on me was a little bit lost as I, God Gamer as I am, figured out how to get most of the way there immediately after getting to teleporter 3. I'm sure my mind would be blown and fucked if I hadn't found out early.
