This game is just fun. It's stupid, dumb, insame, but it's fun. This game is the craziest thing in existance, this is just a 9 year old's fever dream made into game. But it's a total blast. The first thing you'll notice in this game is its strange but really amazingly expressive, microsoft paint art style, it's so unique and shows so much passion with every single frame. The main character Peppino Spaghetti has such a well designed moveset that rewards you keeping up momentum and makes you feel like a total boss once you master it.
The game also includes inexplicably well designed levels jam packed with creative ideas, hidden secrets, that are really replayable. They often include transformations that will give Peppino completely new movesets and abilities. At the end of each level there will be an incredibly intense race back to the start where you must go as fast as possible to escape, they're incredibly fun and the music that plays is also great. This is definitely the best indie game that's released this year so far.

I really, really love this game. I came into Apex expecting it to be another AAA slog, designed to suck money out of the player with low-effort cosmetics (which I will admit happens sometimes) but I was very satisfied when I played the game more.
Once I started putting more hours into Apex, I started to realize all the amazing aspects of it, the movement is slick and well-implemented and resonates really well with the style of game, the maps are developed and fleshed-out and really feel unique unlike a game like Fortnite which I think has very similar Points of Interest. Every legend you play in Apex freshens the experience into something new and the gunplay is some of the best I've tried. I really reccommend giving Apex a good shot, yes it's being monetized greedily and there are other issues, but if you put the hours in this game is great, replayable fun. Also the seasonal updates are consistent and add enough to enjoy every time.
