I personally love the main scenario for EW, I genuinely think it's my favourite so far. This expansion could have been on par with Shadowbringers had the post MSQ content not been monotonous and I actually had a reason to play outside of patch days, I'm just hoping what we lost in quality of the end game here, we gain in content in Dawntrail.

Arguably the best expansion so far, Shadowbringers exceeded HW's high standards by a large margin. This expansion has something for literally everyone in the player base, a very strong story, beautiful set pieces, super interesting character designs, all kinds of content from casual to hardcore.

Stormblood's story unfortunately doesn't live up to the high standard set by HW, that being said, end game content/set pieces and general trials in Stormblood are miles ahead of HW. It would have been nice to have a better balance between story and aesthetics but the expansion is not bad by any means.

I originally didn't enjoy Heavensward due to MMO burnout, however I have replayed this expansion around 8 times now and it hasn't got stale, such a huge improvement on ARR and one of my favourite arcs.

A Realm Reborn creates a very solid foundation for an incredible story but is unfortunately let down by bad pacing and tedious fetch quests. If you're a new player stick with it, it's worth pushing through the post ARR wall I promise.
