Through it's perfect worldbuilding, beautiful environments and amazing variety in both gameplay and enemies, Resident Evil is able to power through its mechanical limitations and even manages to make those aspects among the better parts of the game. Truly a work of art and undoubtedly one of the best survival horror experiences that still manages to hold up today
