One of those rare games where I don’t know if I’d change anything. It’s so impressive how intricate the map is and how great the bosses are. The animations are gorgeous. Just immaculate

It's pretty much the best video game ever made

Truly a special game for me. The music is pretty good and atmospheric, the art is amazing, there is so much thought put into the world design, the character design is wholesome, the mechanics are basic and fun, and the gameplay follows the same.

With these, you will be dragged into the unexplored world of Hallownest.

A stone cold masterpiece. Flawless gameplay, incredible world-building, and one of the most memorable visual designs in the history of gaming.

Rosin bag for sweaty hands recommended.

Probably the most experimental Naughty Dog game in recent memory? Not to be confused with ambitious (that goes to The Last of Us Part II), but they were really trying a bunch of new things here. It's not as good as Uncharted 4 (playing both back-to-back hurts this game quite a bit), but this is a fantastic game when you look at it as a wholly separate entity. Chloe's my favorite character in the franchise and Nadine is my favorite villain, so their banter was always fun to hear and it carries the game pretty hard since it's just them for the most part. The gameplay's just as good, if not better than Uncharted 4's (this is the first Naughty Dog game that truly nails their "Wide Linear" design approach), and the story's relatively simple but well told. the only two things that hurt this game are the lack of location variety and its short length. All in all, it's really good send-off to Naughty Dog's Uncharted games (because we all now some other studio's probably working on Uncharted 5 right now)

The pinnacle of all games I’ve ever played.

One of the greatest games and platformers ever. Probably the hardest game EVER imo. Yes even harder than souls.

In cuphead, you are always the underdog. No matter what style shooter or charm u have equipped you'll never be as strong as ur adversary. No glitches, no help, just you. Pure skill. Pure trial and error.

Be prepared to rage, to git gud, and potentially play couch co-op with a friend haha. I bought this game in 2019 for the switch, stopped playing in 2020. Came back now and finished everything. That's how hard it is, in a souls game I quit for like an hour and then tried and beat the boss (not to say those games are not hard).

The story is quite simple and cute! Not a bad thing! The soundtrack is amazing and the game looks like a cartoon from the 60s! It's beautiful! Everything! The soundtrack, the gameplay, the weapons, the charms, the level design. Down to every last atom.

Every single boss is crazy hard😭 EVEN THE RUN AND GUNS AT TIMES FUDGE THE FISH AND CRAB ONES.

The level of detail they put into this game is crazy too. It's unreal, truly passionate people worked on this game. Even the dlc they released (which I haven't played yet) they delayed and released it for not even full prive! Fairly priced and you can tell they worked so hard on it! They even made a physical release because we demanded it!

Cuphead is an amazing game, this game is the reason we all love gaming. We play games to escape, to feel a sense of satisfaction, to feel that sense of happiness after we win. Or just to have fun.

Studio MDHR is special, and this game will be timeless. Textbook definition of a great game and masterpiece.

I review this.
First off... THE STORY:- ight i think this is the main highlight of the yakuza series including all the games, the story is phenomenal. This was a rather long game, with 17 chapters (including the finale), and it usually takes 1 or 1 and a half an hour on one chapter, so you would think you could finish it in about 20 hours. BUT YOU ARE WRONG, there are so many fucking great side mission that make the play through so much more enjoyable, and all the side mission are optional so you dont have to do them but not doing them is like missing one of the main portions of the game. I would say if you encounter any side mission, go for it, even if it doesnt sound interesting. And it isnt only the side missions, the MINIGAMES are also one the main components in yakuza 0. My favorite was karaoke (obviously) but there were many other enjoyable ones like arcade or 8ball. And every store in yakuza is filled to brim with life, even eating at a restaurant is enjoyable cuz it lets u pick whatever u want to eat. And I am proud to say i have 42 hours on this game.
Ight nex point im jus gonna have to go with the characters. They are the other main component of yakuza along side the story. If it werent for the characters and their overall development and impact then the story wouldnt be as great as it is. Yakuza made me realize how important a good character cast is. Kiryu and Majima's dynamic cannot be topped.
Now yakuza was made in 2015 so the graphics arent great as new gen. My cousin even pointed out it looked like ps2 graphics when he was watching me play. Which is not far but sometimes is annoys my ocd whenever the characters are talking but their lips arent on sync with what they are saying, but this is a MINOR problem so it wont annoy as much as you think. But imo it still holds up great as a game from 2015. One of my favorite parts of yakuza was watching the cutscenes, whenever one came on i put down my controller and enjoyed every second of it.
Ight now one of the many strengths of yakuza 0. THE OST. HOLY SHIT. THE REASON I PLAYED YAKUZA IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS THE OST, I HEARED A FEW GOOD SONGS BUT ITS SO MUCH BETTER ONCE U PLAY IT AND HEAR IT FOR YOURSELVES SO PLEASE PLAY.
Ight lastly, the gameplay and atmosphere. Yakuza's gameplay in my opinion is good. Like a 8/10 good. Its not as great as other games like for example bloodborne, but bloodborne is more focused on gameplay and atmosphere than yakuza. Yakuza still has good combat systems dont get me wrong. But the upgrade systems are wacky and dont make sense at times. But to compensate for this they give u 8 options on how you want to approach enemies. 8 different styles and each more addictive than the other. I forgot to mention there are 2 protaganists u play as, majima and kirju, and both have a set of their own fighting styles making them even more enjoyable. And then the atmosphere. It immerses you into the world of kamurcho and sotenbori. I dont really know how to explain it but you will have to play it for yourselves to understand. Its like, you are kiryu and you are the one going to the karaoke bars, shops, and restaurants. Just amazing.
OVERALL. I give yakuza a 9.5/10. It has some flaws in gameplay and overall pacing of the story. But everything else is nearly perfect. And i highly recommend u check it out.

One of the best games i've ever played.
The bosses, the character development, the story, everything.... I wish i can play it for the first time again, i miss it already. That's how good it is.
I wish i can play all the yakuza games for the first time again- they really changed me.
