Whew ok well it's interesting, I wouldn't call AC a favorite franchise but I like it enough that I'm trying to 100% the entire series, but man this game was rough i thought after years of support it would be better but no. The servers just don't work sometimes, Arno loves to get caught on random background elements which make you unable to fast travel or do anything without restarting the game, and perhaps the worst sin of all for a sneaky assassin game: the guards are always flanked by dozens of snipers that can see you miles away. It's bad, I don't generally experience burnout but this was an actual slog to complete.

The worst part is, the story is actually alright, in the beginning but it just...kinda stops like they didn't know how to end it.

As others have said this game has been subject to a really strange criticism that I can only assume is from people that don't play many video games that Splatoon 3 is "more fo the same" when this has been perfected in such a way that I'd very nearly call this the best multiplayer game I've ever played. There's much more incentive for trying out different modes now, various quality of life improvements, the game is snappy and quick, no more weird almost taunting loss music like in 2. As always the lore and music are also very interesting.
It's an incredible start to a game that already has at least two years of constant content updates ahead and as it is right now? It looks like this is something I will play with my friends hundreds, if not thousands of hours in that time.

2022

Its...cute? The art direction and mood are superb and so is the soundtrack. The story is really really simple and safe which is fine, but paired with a buggy game with a few ill designed achievements and it just comes across as "ok".

Really fun and funny game. I liked the characterization of the guardians and the story. A sequel could build on this a lot and fix a lot of issues. It is unfortunately pretty buggy too nothing really gamebreaking though and there are generous checkpoints.

The narrative of this game was so poor that I'm surprised Psychonauts 2 ended up being so good. The focus on having ~BIG NAME~ actors really ate up the budget of this game and it shows

This is one of the worst narratives I have ever experienced. It's slow, uneventful, and the live action actors are a detriment not a positive style choice. One of the very few games I've ever regretted buying.

One of my favorite games now has a definitive version. The story is largely unchanged outside of the introduction of it being fully voice acted and new VAs which are (mostly) good, Zack takes some getting used too. The combat changes are very stellar making the game way more fun, Hard mode was overhauled as well making it mostly more enjoyable, the superboss still has EXTREMELY inflated health like most of the hard mode enemies in the original. It was a real treat to play this and get the platinum! I recommend it to any FFVII fan.

I honestly am surprised how good this game was. It was marketed extremely poorly but its very good fun. First let's talk about the GOOD
Positives:
Cutscenes are great, I wish there were more of them? Very well animated and the writing is surprisingly good but they are so spaced out and so few.
Cyberspace levels, when they work, are great.
Soundtrack is top tier.
Story is kinda interesting but nothing too deep.

Cons:
Somehow the 2D controls of a series that started 2D are absolutely awful, Sonic goes from feeling like he weighs 2k tons to being extremely slippery on a dime and some of the levels have extremely awful perspective.

Generally the controls in the overworld are good but a lot of fighting segments are made extremely frustrating due to the fact that most of your moves make sonic fly around which makes you fall off of the very small platforms fights take place on sometimes restarting extremely long chase sequences.

The true final boss is atrocious.

Having to level speed and ring count ONE level at a time 98 times is exhausting and there is no reason why you can't level in bulk...attack and defense level in bulk...

Overall I generally recommend it if you grew up with Sonic or like the character, or if you like the writing of the IDW comics.

Yakuza Game #3 in my quest to catch up on the series.

Despite hearing mixed things I really liked this one, it might be my favorite of the three (0,Kiwami, this) that I've played but I kinda need to think on it a bit. I really ended up enjoying the story I won't get into spoilers but some general thoughts on the plot:
Antagonists were really interesting this time.
I'm getting really attached to Haruka!
I like Kaoru a lot as well!
I got a little emotional at the end and that's always a good sign.

The gameplay in this one took some getting used too, in the beginning its EXTREMELY slow and I missed style switching, however I grew to really love the EXP system and the changes to Heat. Doing multiple heat actions easily was extremely fun and the larger focus on using weapons and the environment was interesting. Tiger Drop didn't feel as nice this time though not really sure why, wasn't bad just didn't feel as good as Kiwami.

Minigames:
CABARET IS BACK MY GOATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
I love the Cabaret in this and the little story was cute just like in 0, I really wish they'd make a longer more fleshed out Cabaret mode, even a full game honestly.

Majima Construction/Clan Creator was fun, story was neat, the gameplay was...mostly fun?? after a certain point its just kinda waiting around though, the song is extremely catchy though.

The rest of the minigames weren't anything crazy, I like Karoke a lot more in this one, UFO Catcher is actually awful in this though.

Excited to start 3 Remaster soon!
