Good god this chapter is dark as fuck
A good starting point but even as of writing this a few of the late bosses are way overtuned / there are too few upgrade resources or souls available to really try different builds or weapons
It's so fucking good once you get the feel for the start of the game and can get a run going just did my ending A run. knowledge is power baby

Review of first chapter The Girl and The Monster
Has some really beautiful set pieces and the music is great The Cage really reminds me of Ueda's aesthetic in games like Ico and Shadow of Colossus.
As far as the story goes the individual weapon stories are largely hit and miss with the overall arching story of Girl/Monster being fairly good and I felt ended really strong. The main problem is the game is just dull as hell the whole thing just plays itself. As shitty as it is that this game will soon be taken offline and be unavailable to play you can get the same experience by watching someone else play it on youtube quite literally.

Replay- First full pacifist run and man does it still got it fucking phenomenal
It's fine, got some really annoying levels in there and the combat is super basic but sprites are cute and is still leagues better than most anime games.
Really fucking great had way more fun with this than the first not gonna give it a score till im finished with other characters/endings and new content but its a special game

The world building, atmosphere, and style this game has is greatly welcomed but man is it a brutal slog to get through. Deeply unfair by design and just too punishing for myself personally to get through w/o a save mod a great experience nonetheless

I would love to rate this lower because boy does it drag on with the same gameplay, enough to the point that I just used cheat engine to speed things along. The story is really fucking solid Iori, Chiemon, Musashi, Yamato, Yui, Ushi, are great characters and I love this version of the holy grail war so I cant complain that much.
