Basic puzzles are a bit too easy as the pixel art from actual games lends to more specific forms. The color was a blast and clip is a fun diversion. As like last time, just don’t click with mega.
First third was really solid, then the game kept relying on you losing your equipment and dealing with some finicky platforming. If the game was any longer than the breezy three hours, the frustration would have become insurmountable. Voice acting was laughable (positive).
Every choice made was in favor of less fun. So bad they had to reboot the franchise just a few years later. The inevitable remake of this will still be unfun, there’s nothing here to save. Tedious.
Fun for the most part. The puzzles were often a bit too straightforward and the writing loves to slow everything down. Would have been better if that Tim Schafer humor was turned down and the Pixar lite story was minimized.
