survive the internet is worse quiplash

Drawful, Fibbage, and YDKJ are inspired. We don't talk about the other two.

A good start, but nowadays there's no real point in getting this one - all the good games got sequels in other party packs

I think it's hilarious that the story, pacing, and humor were so good that the (quite frankly incredible) spicy scenes were the worst part. I went in expecting mediocre trash and ended up shedding tears over this golden 10/10 trash. Honestly if this game wasn't leaking "male gaze" out of every pore (which is addressed in the story, but doesn't erase it) I'd regularly recommend it to people looking for some trashy goodness.

I love going to raves, night clubs, and other places where I embarrass myself in public with horrible dancing. It gives me a euphoric thrill that's almost like a high that I can't get anywhere else.

That was, until I started playing Beat Saber. The genius decision of rhythm VR games of encouraging the player to dance while also blindfolding them is maybe the best decision in gaming. I feel like I get to truly dance and wave my arms around like an idiot without judgement or leaving the house. It is great for my health and bad for my social life and I love it to death.

Um... well it's definitely not for everyone. It's a pretty neat little puzzle game, but I wasn't nearly as charmed as some other puzzle games like Tunic or Fez when it gets somewhat esoteric. It does carry with it a feeling of "you're not supposed to find everything, and that's okay!" with a lot of the puzzles being optional, but even without those, puzzles can very often feel less like they're encouraging discovery and more like they're trying to see if they can finally "getcha" and make you give up. It can often feel cruel, and that's maybe the point? It's a masochist's puzzle game, and well: I am a masochist, so I kinda fuck with it.

The last bit of puzzles where there's just actually seizure inducing mechanics can fuck off though.

I need to preface by saying that I find puzzle games really hard, I have tritonopia (colourblind) and get frustrated at myself when I feel dumb.

Yeah, not for me. Some of the puzzles are intuitive or even had me thinking in a crazy way and that was cool but a lot of them were really hard to the point of not being as fun to me.

I hated getting something wrong and having to waste like 10 seconds going back to recomplete the previous puzzle. I get it was meant to incentivize thinking before acting but as someone who isn't as good at puzzle games it felt like it punished me for not being as smart.

I also really needed a colourblind mode at certain points in the game which I either didn't get or just missed (at which point fair enough, my bad) but I get this isn't an issue for most people.

The environment was very pretty and the sounds were minimal but just there enough to create an atmosphere that I enjoyed.

I get why people would love this game but it just didn't hit that way for me.
