Aw sweet, Mario Party with an RPG attached to it!

the fuck does "completed on blu-ray player" mean

'omg what if there was a naked little girl and it was all fucked up' omg what if you shut the fuck up instead

friend of mine kept trying to get me to play this for a really long time, eventually i caved and played the first five minutes or so before putting it away. i barely remember the game but she got arrested for child porn a year later so three stars

possession (1981) for lolicons and i mean that in the absolute most hateful way possible

i really liked the concepts and the beginning of the story but everything goes downhill as the story proceeds, not in a good way. everything is just so needlessly edgy, making it such a hollow story

despite how flawed i think this game is it's still fuckin incredible and i couldn't recommend it enough, but i think anyone who thinks it's the peak of combat in the series or the peak of ARPGs in general needs to, like, play more games. magnet and reflect fucking break this game in half, even on critical. there's a reason ppl say its "press triangle to win." also some awful map design, great hallways and boxes, guys.

also it took me almost 3 months to beat bc i was streaming for my friends and our schedules had a hard time lining up consistently. oops! life happens.

Wow! Nagato Kamado! That was so cool! Can you do it again?

Huge improvement in almost every way from the first one. The location is more interesting, the story is crazier, the twists are bigger, the trials and investigations are harder and more complex, it's more emotional. The only thing I personally think the first game did better was the characters. Sorry to some of the fans out there but this cast is the weakest of the three mainline game in my humble opinion. I will do a full review and ranking someday, but not today.

8.4/10

Square really had it figured out in the 90s.

A true rollercoaster ride as promised. Final Fantasy XVI is the most indulgent, edgy, proving itself to be cool, game I’ve played since I was a child. And it succeeds in almost every way. Yeah it spanks. I wish things were a bit different with Jill and I hate how they wrote Benedikta. That shit was as ick and stale as a slice of rye from the 1980's. Cuz that's how old that tropey bullshit is

I did every side quest, every hunt on the board, and unlocked every Eikon Ability (didn't master them all though, need NG+ for that). The combat is amazing and offers plenty of room for getting creative and huge room for combo potential. The story and characters are amazing, and I think they feel way better and more believable as people than FF7R. The soundtrack does WONDERS for this game, from the most insignificant little side quests to the climax of the game. Like I said earlier, I did every side quest available, but I don't recommend this unless you want to know every detail about the story of the game. I've never been one for NG+ either but this game has changed my mind with how much more there is to experience after finishing my first playthrough. This game is my game of the year.
