Shadow of War is, quite literally, everything Shadow of Mordor was, exept better, bigger and more in every way possible. The game, like it's predecessor, is a relatively slow burn, which is made worse by the fact that the overall loop is so enjoyable and addictive. Shadow of War was an unfortunate event in almost every way possible, pissing everyone off at release and cementing Warner Bros. as a truly awful entity. But for what it's worth, Shadow of War is an amazing game, well worth the time and effort the team has poured into it, and it is worth your time as well.

Superhot: MCD is a fun evolution of Superhot, throwing away most of the bad and enhancing the good with things like classes and a rouge-like-esk level structure. Unfortunately, it's still way too easy to cheat the game by boxing yourself into a corner and pressing left-click a bunch, and everything to do with the story is still dumb and way too self-indulgent

GAMERS ARE LIARS and Borderlands 3 is actually pretty good. The shooting is fantastic and the more action oriented classes + the slight overhall of movement make the encounters fast and thrilling. Loot is flowing like a river, but you never get bored of chasing the next best gun in your inventory. The story is fun and more exciting and fast paced that it has ever been, and while the villians and some side-characters are cringe, for the most part it's pretty funny. Really the worst thing about Borderlands 3 is that it feels like a really big and fancy Borderlands 2 remake-remaster, which makes the game feel a bit archaic

While some of it's gameplay ideas are interesting, Florence doesn't go farther than "alright" in most respects. The story is simple, but almost to a detrement - you don't exactly know why things happen or any of the characters. Really, this whole game is therapy for people struggling with recent breakups, allowing you to project your personal life situations on these people and their own struggles. And whether or not you need that in your life will determine what you think of Florence, and unfortunately - I don't.
P.S.
The music by Kevin Penkin is amazing and the best thing about this game

Gris is very beautifull in every way, but for a game with such minimalist story it would have to try a lot harder to squeeze emotions out of me than Gris actually did. And what doesn't help is that the gameplay is pretty bad and the game is way too easy (which might be the point, but still)

Mad Max is a very addictive and fun open world game, with a great atmosphere and nice-feeling mechanics that allow you to zone out and breathe in the apocalypse in-between car wreckage and upgrading your car. One of the best open-worlders, even if not that great of a game

MGR is pure fucking hype and passionate sex in heavens the first time you play through it, but it's not hard to notice minor and major problems with it on your subsequent runs: how weapons apart from the main sword are stupid and pointless, how the story actually pulls a lot of punches and can be pretty convoluted or rushed at times, and how some levels are underwhelming and dull. But the bosses and music stay brilliant even dozen fights later, and the sheer tightness of core mechanics is pretty much unparalleled

Shovel Knight is a victory for indie games and gaming as a whole - a loving hommage to 16-bit platformers, it's an incredibily fun and exciting adventure, perfectly balanced and shockingly easy to get lost in. It's The Retro-platformer, a benchmark for the genre that manages to stand alongside it's influences

Basically a remixed, improved and refined Shovel Knight, fun and exciting in it's own way and even more emotional and intimate. The card game was alright. The story was kind of a let down by the end, but nontheless captivating throughout 90% of it

The game is fantastic and pretty much the best telltale game - aside from that ending. What brings the game down a peg is the overall dated tech behind it, leading to stiff animations and lack-luster presentaion. That said, Tales from the Borderlands is still amazing

Metro 2033 is a stupid and archaic game even for 2010 - habitually locking you into "follow the npc at an awkward pace" kinda situations and turret sequenses. The stealth is broken, the story is boring and insane, and the guns are kind of weak-feeling. That said, like most slav games, it wins most people over by it's atmosphere, characters and world more than with anything, and these aspects are on point

It's a promising premise with a dissapointing everything else. The fun Saints Row mechanics are there, but Gat Out of Hell doesn't really build on that

Honestly just a huge let down in most ways a game can let one down

As bad as B-sized games get. Deserves hate, if not for it's overall quality then for how it seemingly killed a great Transformers games series

Literally a shittier Yakuza 0, with a worsened combat and with a story much less engaging and much more padded
